We went to Temptation last November (going again this November) and loved it! We might be able to go away at the end of March but TTR is much too expensive. Has anyone been to both these resorts? I know they're not at all the same and have to adjust expectations... but would we be very disappointed if we went to Oasis instead? We'd still jump on the Boobs Cruise one or two of the days...
Do NOT go to oasis in march. Ever. It's a spring break location. Goes From a 4 to a 2 star. You will be slipping on puke and idiots the entire time. Never able to get a drink. Been there lol
We'd be leaving at the very end of March but good point. There are such mixed reviews of the place. That's disappointing but thank you for the feedback!!
Well. What u can do is upgrade to the grand oasis. Prob for not much more. Gives u much better food and room. Very much worth it.
Remember there are about 6 Oasis resorts in Cancun. The one known as Oasis Cancun is indeed a spring break place, but Oasis Sens is not. That said, while TTR was closed many people tried Oasis Sens as a possible alternative. A few enjoyed it but most weren't impressed. I don't know of anyone going back there now TTR is open again. Yes, TTR is more expensive. But if you could get 5 nights at TTR for the same price as 7 at Sens, enjoy twice the fun and quality it might be worth considering a shorter trip and saving some vacation time.
Thanks Steve. We're coming from Vancouver, BC so one of the farthest places in North America so 5 days travelling that far isn't worth the trip We will be back in November for 8 nights (stayed 9 last time) and can't wait for another Boobs Cruise (or two!). It was a huge highlight of our last trip.

I think Sens is supposed to be one of their nicer resorts. We haven't been there but most reviews of the place aren't that great. The Grand Oasis / Oasis Pyramid are basically the same resort. If you book through the Pyramid you get everything at both resorts. It's supposed to be nicer rooms and more perks vs The Grand Oasis. We went for a short trip in February to the Pyramid (my 3rd time there). It is definitely a low end resort that caters to spring breakers. If you just want to drink all day and party all night its good for that. Don't expect to be wow'd by the food, cleanliness of the grounds, or the service. For our trip it was $800 for 5 days with flights from Chicago.....so like I said super cheap! LOL We figured out this year that we are officially too "old" to handle the crowd that goes there. Too many kids between 18-21 who can't handle their booze without acting like complete d-bags!
We've been to the Sens 6 times. The last time was in February. It will probably be our last trip. It is not Temptation. There is no comparison. There are no theme nights, no regular parties (other than the weekly foam party), and you will not find the same level of service. Most bars have one bartender. Power outages have become a common occurrence in the evenings. There have been reports of random staff members entering guests' rooms unauthorized. Restaurants either require an early morning line up to get reservations, or a 1.5 hour wait in the evenings, and unless you are VIP-level, there are three restaurants you have to pay to eat at. There is a constant up-sell to Sian Ka'an level, and incessant reminders of what you could have if you would pay to upgrade. You might think you're saving money by staying here over TTR, but the truth is, there's a reason you're saving money. Spend the extra, and go to TTR or Desire.
