Unfortunately we are there between the two "big" groups, but its my birthday and that's where I wanted to be to celebrate Oct 20th - 27th. It would be great to cross paths!

I kind of look at it a bit different Marshe. If I break down our upcoming trip, it costs us about $24/hr to stay at TTR. After a 2hr pitch, I'm only ahead $52. I can do better than that working at home, so definitely not going to do it on vacation. Of course I don't get to drink and look at boobs at work
Plus "vacation time" should be at Triple OT rate (or more) since you have to earn it by dealing with so much crap these days in Real Life!!
What is this shyte about **having** to pay $20 that gets refunded when you show up? We have no intention of going to a sales meeting but how do they get the "mandatory" $20 from you? Auto charge your CC for that, followed up by a cash refund? I'll be PISSED if that is the case, and will probably steal as many towels and pencils as I can to get my $20 back!!
It's not mandatory. We got suckered into giving a $20 cash deposit our first trip. We didn't know any better, and they used it as a "refundable" insurance policy to make sure we showed up for the tour/presentation
Ya that is something new, that we only became aware of 3 weeks ago when we there. Someone mentioned it to us at the pool. Me being Me I had to find out why. The reason is too many people bail on the appointments after making them. But as I told a big shot upstairs, it isn't fair or even hospitable to prey on folks naivety or politeness. To pester/pressure fresh arrivals to attend the sales pitch and take ransom just isn't right. But the rsponse I got was it is a staffing isssue trying to scheddule and juggle adequate sales people in accordance with the tour/ledger each morning. That being said I still think the practice is mis-guided
