o_OThe biggest problem I see with giving the obligatory 90mins to listen to some spiel while on a referral is the word breakfast... which means mornings... sorry, but that M word doesn’t exist in my vacay vocabulary! Even in my “real” life, everyone knows not to disturb me before the 10am rule on my day off... and then there needs to be two cups of coffee before you may speak! Hahahaha!:p:confused:

You can't drink all day, if you don't get up in the morning.

Go and get what you can for your time. Room upgrade, spa coupons, extra free lobster dinner upgrade, T-shirt, plastic mug branded from lobby shop etc.

Just be aware that much of what is said in response to your questions during the presentation will never appear in the contract. In some cases even if it does it show up on a page that will be neither the contract itself or an addendum - just a page, rendering it unenforceable.

It’s mexico...., and a timeshare - set realistic expectations.

Plan to leave at 90 mins, be polite, and sign that you attended but didn’t buy and take a pic of the page so you can send it to the member who referred you. If you get any hassles later in your stay or the member gets told you didn’t attend well then at least you’ve got the pic along with the memory.

You should be aware that you don’t get to view the contract until it’s signing time, which drives me nuts.

Best of luck in negotiating perks.

Haha! I’m a rotating 12hr shift worker... my “morning” just happens to be at a different hour on the clock than others see it. “All day” will just have to continue into the “nighttime” hours and I’ll make up for what I lost on the other end! :marshe:

Another perk is if you get Regina you get to spend time with a major hottie :) I think I fell in love and before you knew it we were at 2.5 hours lol. I woke up when they told me the prices would never be below $400 again in 2018 and I was forced to pull up prices on cheaptickets.com to prove them wrong. Ironically 3 weeks later their prices were at $200 with that Black Friday sale that lasted into January.

We got a bottle of (bad) Tequilla, but your perk might be that you end up being a member. We have been going for years and are not members, but we decided to do the pitch last year and were more tempted to do it than we thought we would be. In fact, there have been several times since then when we have said "We should have done that deal!"

I would suggest to just keep saying no. The more you say no, the sweeter the deals get.

I kinda disagree.....we said yes many years ago, after saying No for our first 6 trips.
The deal we got....you can't get anymore.
Compared to what is offered today, we have a sweet deal.
But we turned down even better deals in the beginning.

Many of the original members have the all-time best contracts, because they never said no.
Those folks have the cats' ass contracts!

Let me clarify. Keep saying no in a single presentation, not over years. They started out with the six figure plan and by the end, it was pocket change. We should have taken it but didn't and I seriously doubt that they will have that offer again. It seemed too good to be true which made us uneasy.

    Ok...I agree with that.
Keep sayin No to drive the best bargain when you are closing your deal.
