We did GP twice almost 15 years ago when it still had lustre. It got very lame and toned down because of increased use of shuttle with Great Parnassus we feel, 10 or 11 years ago and turned very poseur Some close friends still go there yearly and are devoutly loyal and can't see trying that crazy swingers joint. (TTR) We gave up trying to convince them, but we are still apprised of what has become of GP and frankly it is much like a few other adult onlys. TTR is unlike anything on the planet. Trust we know .....have been to over 2 dozen adult onlys. (5 different ones in the last 18 months alone) Comparisons are not what you asked. TTR is different and you won't know until you experience it and measure your reactions Stretch your limitations for a night or 2 and seek solace in experimenting with your comfort zone. But as I said above you most likely will wince at the thought of going back to GP.
If you've been contemplating, you've done your research. If you're still tempted, you're ready for it! We jumped in 7 weeks ago and we can't wait for our next trip. There is something or a place for everybody... whether it 's just mingling with new friends over drinks or meals, or completely diving into the uncharted territories of sexual trysts, you'll find something that suits you. Leave the worries at home and let go. This will be a vacation you won't soon forget.
It's kind of funny that me and Marshe are on the same thread trying to talk you out of going back to the GP. I defended the GP a few years back with a couple of other guys, and it kind of ruffled some feathers. Water under the bridge as far as I'm concerned, and anyone can vacation wherever they want. However re-posting on this thread leaves me to think you are looking for a little nudge to push you in. I only have two trips at each resort for background, but I can say from my experience that if you can make it past 6:00 at TTR you aren't going to see anything that is going to make you want to leave. If you have been to GP as many times as you say, then you have probably seen what we have. Multiple ladies topless on the Tiki bar getting tequila licked off of them from top to bottom. You are never going to see that at Bash, and in two trips to TTR, I didn't see anything more than that at the Sexy pool. I did see more in the hot tub, but that is pretty easy to avoid. What you will see is A LOT more nudity, and more of a sexual atmosphere that you can partake in or just as easily avoid. Like it has been said, head to the quiet pool or the beach if you want, but the late night at TTR is just way better, and you'll enjoy that. Basically you can make the TTR trip as tame or wild as you want, because the size of the resort, and people there allow it to be so. You can't make GP more wild, you just have to hope that it is with the group that is there at the time you are. So for just a little bit more money, (back when we went to GP it was the same price) TTR is the best of both worlds. Don't wait another year, it's time to book.
And if you do decide to try it, get in on the theme nights...It's another step to add to the experience. Nothing to worry about, just extra fun.
Been to both and the only reason we went back to GP was TTR was closed for renovations TTR has better food, better service, better drinks, better party, and better people! You have nothing to fear, you can participate to what ever level you are comfortable with. We couldn't get out of GP fast enough on our last trip. The BEST trips we have ever had are all at TTR!
We did GP this past June when TTR was closed. I can safely say we would never go back. BINGO around the pool was as exciting as it ever got. And they said if you got their cards wet, you owed them $5. We actually couldn’t wait to get home. That’s a first for us in Cancun. We tried to make the most of it anyways. Great beach and great staff overall. But really a lame hotel and food/drinks were terrible IMO.
Thank all of you for giving input into this thread. We really appreciate it. This morning we booked May 27-May 31 but will be going back to the GP. The difference in price along with my better half being really hesitant to change helped make the choice. I know we're missing out on a great opportunity to meet some great people, but hey, it's still a few days in Cancun so it's not a bad consolation. I'm still going to try and talk her into Steve's cruise on May 28. I'm not worried about getting to the cruise from GP but I do have a little concern with making our way back to GP once the boat docks and the fun ends. Thanks again to all of you.
I satayed at GP in November and even managed to have some naughty fun with a vanilla couple. But the highlight of my trip was a one night stay at Temptations. I was there from 3pm to 1pm the next day. I too was concerned it wouldn’t be for me. I was so pleasantly surprised. I had a fantastic 24 hours. I did not see overt swinging, but I felt very comfortable being topless at the pool and wearing very naughty clothing to dinner and the club. I’m now headed back for a full 4 days and looking forward to more adventures. I think the trial day/night is a brilliant idea.
