We are planning our 6th trip to Cancun at the end of May. We have always stayed at the Golden Parnassus and enjoy the adult only atmosphere and the nice beach. We have never had the courage to book a trip to Temptations because we're not sure if we would be comfortable there for an entire week, however, we are curious about the resort and would like to give it a try for a day to see how it compares. We definitely aren't prudes and like to have a good time but would like to check it out before we dive in completely. My question is, can we get a day pass to Temptations? What does it cost? And what are the limitations with one?
Others have asked about day passes as well, but if you look at the economics of it, you are FAR better off to just get a room booked. Even if you don't stay there, it is still much cheaper, and now you have a place to store your stuff, crash for a nap, etc. And if all goes like I'm pretty sure it will, you can also crash there overnight. TTR is sexy sensory overload on day 1. If you are curious enough to come for a day, I'm guessing you'll fit right in and want to come back, just like the rest of us found out. Get ready to make a lot of new friends, but do yourself a favor and just book a room. You'll be better off in every way. Welcome to the best party in Cancun!
Way better value booking a night instead of a day pass. Chances are it will be the first night of many, many more future blocks of nights you book. GP is a solid rsort, but you may wince at the thought of ever returning.
We stayed at the GP twice before going to TTR the last two trips. We enjoyed GP, and saw some things that were equal to in sexual craziness there, but certainly not the quantity of it. After the GP had a management change they seemed to really be going away from the sexual aspect, and topless around the pool was discourage. It wasn't that way in our first two trips so we switched to TTR, and very glad we did. I really think TTR is nothing to be afraid of. You aren't going to see straight up sex, like you would at Desire, but it can get pretty close. But if it gets too much, just head over to the quiet pool. That area for the most part really isn't that much different than GP. Bash really isn't anything more sexual than the Tiki bar, and nobody would feel out of place there. Sports bar is another place you could hang out if things get too much. The only big difference is the beach. The GP beach is pretty awesome, and TTR is adequate, but when your at the beach at TTR you feel like you're missing out on the fun, so why spend much time there. At least you can get in the water at TTR, red flags almost all the time at GP. I would recommend diving in completely, nothing to worry about, and plenty to gain.
That's great advice and we never thought about the quiet pool being a place to step away for a bit. In reality that's what your other hotel pool is going to be like anyway, so why not have both on the same premises? That gives you the option for quiet time, or just around the corner, the sexy party place. And all your stuff is nearby in the room. The more I thought about the whole day pass and considering going between the two resorts, our best advice is just to book at TTR and be done with it. There are always quiet places if you prefer, and it would be a LOT easier and less expensive this way. You've been to GP twice before. You know what that is like, but you've been tempted by TTR. Booking at TTR is the choice that gives you more options. And a hell of a lot more new friends! You won't regret it. Nobody ever does.
I had a friend come to cancun with me a couple years ago. She didn't think she was ready for the TTR Experience but we booked a couple nights as an add on with friends. After the first night (including 1st day curse) she realized.....THATs the place to be (we were staying at Sun Palace - nice resort but ......yawn!) I totally agree.....book it and if the sexy pool is too much - there is the beach / quiet pool / skybox pool.......there are lots of options!
Still back and forth deciding between GP or a first trip to Temptations. Looking at May 28-June 1. Booking through funjet, Temptations will be about $300 more using same fights for each resort. We like the familiarity of GP but the intrigue of something different at Temptations. Basically, do we decide to do the same old thing or expand our boundaries a bit by trying something new. We'll decide soon.
