We went to TTR in November and LOVED it - loved the Boobs Cruise even more! We booked to go back this November while we were still there on the cyber sale. We're looking for more of a last minute trip at the end of March. We are slightly tempted to go to TTR again, but it is pretty darn expensive for us Canadians (our dollar and the fact it's pretty busy in April) and we just want to explore somewhere else. So that being said, looking for some recommendations from our TTR friends of other resorts we might want to look into. We want to avoid "family" resorts so focusing on adult only and a resort that has more of a party atmosphere - even a hint of TTR. I know of the Oasis Sens, but to be honest since it's in the same area we are looking for something different (unless you can all convince me that we NEED to go there - the Boobs Cruise would be my main draw as we could still hitch a ride for the day lol). Also not looking for the Mayan area as we have both been there lots and will be going there for a few days before TTR in November. Not 100% opposed to a US trip either - just needs to be a warm destination with a fun night life, but prefer all inclusive. Has anyone been to Riu Republica in Punta Cana? Thanks all!
Breathless Punta Cana (and what I've heard Cancun) is a great resort - but $$$ is probably more than TTR. You'll be hard pressed to find anything that even has a touch of the TTR party
RIU Palace Las Americas is adult only. It is a really nice place and the food is excellent. The only real issue is it gets quite after the nightly show is over. You are allowed access to the club at the RIU Cancun next door and that was fun. But I don't think the price is all that diffrent to TTR right now.
I know... sigh... It's just very unfortunate it's $2400/person for our dates from Vancouver for a week
WHY would you want to leave VanCity in winter? The weather is so amazing though... NOT. Former Vancouverite here......I DON'T miss the wet miserable winters. Family reminds me about it EVERY time we talk..JHA
I would escape to Arizona in a heart beat! Love the heat... and Scottsdale! If ONLY it was just the winters here... having lived here my entire life I'm just a little bit over Raincouver lol
Maybe Vegas? They do have some great pools and night life, and it might be cost effective coming from BC. I think we all wish there was another TTR someplace as a backup.
