Even though we have 129 days left until we hit TTR (but who's counting?), I'm already starting to shop for outfits for dinner/theme nights. The problem I am running into is that if you are taller than 5'7 and aren't a size 2, finding sexy clothes is difficult. While I know I'm not large, I am 5'10 and have hips and a booty ... so short dresses don't even cover the lady parts, and the fitted items I've tried on made it look like I gained 50 pounds overnight. So many of the clothes I find that hubs and I are drooling over on a mannequin, model, or even the hanger, just don't work when I get to the dressing room. It's soooooo frustrating!! There's so many sexy outfits out there, but where's the ones for those of us with curves?? I suppose if worse comes to worse, I'll be walking around every night in my thong swimsuit bottoms and pasties Any other ladies have this "problem" and where do you find your outfits?
Just browse through people s public photo albums , you will see a lot of good examples Yandi is a popular site for shopping
Yep, definitely check out Yandy. We also use Bellelily for some fun stuff. Hips and booty sound like the perfect body for rocking some super sexy outfits. There is only one man you have to impress, and I'm sure he will be a fan of whatever you wear. They always look good on the floor next to the bed.
I am 5'8" so I sympathize with you about dresses being too short. However, I AM a size 2, so I don't have to worry about the other aspect, thankfully. I suggest that you do a lot of searching online, as there ARE dresses to be found that will work for you. Attached photo is the dress I bought on Yandy for my April trip (we have a Sheer Night as an April Addicts theme). It is almost knee-length (really, longer than I would like!), and has tons of stretch. I bought a size small, and it is also available in Med and Lg. I think it would be quite forgiving if you were a little curvier than you'd like to be. AND it was on sale for only $15! But more importantly, know that there will be very few size 2's at the resort. TTR guests cover the whole gamut of shapes, sizes and ages. It's a slice of regular humanity, despite the promotional photos on the TTR website that would lead you to think that only beautiful people in their 30's go to TTR. At TTR, a size 12 gal can rock the same outfit as size 2, and a little extra padding doesn't make a bit of difference to how well you wear the dress. No one is going to judge you at TTR, unlike what we women face in every other walk of life. So if you love a dress, and hubby loves it on you, don't agonize over it not fitting you like it does the mannequin. Pretty sure your hubby doesn't want the mannequin in bed beside him.
I couldn’t agree more! I’ve had no luck with the online shopping on the sites that are recommended. I do better at my local stores that are specifically for juniors and stores that have junior dept. and have thought outside the box, and found outfits and made them sexified! And plus, you’re not wearing what everyone else is!
I must agree with the Yandy recommendations. I am not 5'10" (dammit) but 5'7". And I love my Yandy stuff. And I do have a lot. A lot of the dresses have side drawstrings or elastic so you can lower them or raise them depending on your mood. And order large. Cheap stuff tends to run small... Happy sexy outfit hunting!
My problem is the opposite-I'm too short. But, my strategy-always buy two-piece outfits-may work for you, too. Gives you more flexibility to put the fabric where you want it. Also, you might like Gojane.com.
I hate buying 2 piece outfits I am 5 6 180ish right now .. so I order xxl or xl right and the bottom will fit but for some reason a lot of those places thinks hey you are that big you must have really small tits ..nothing up top fits .. I am a ddd I need some more fabric lol same thing with those tank tops with the built in bra's in them ..the shirt fits great if I rip out that stupid bra thing since its a size or 2 to small lol I buy a lot from AMI club wear ..and thrift shops .. I like ebay if I can see the actual measurements listed other wise they never work
