Worse if your flying through the states on the way back. Google as a few stories of stranded flyers cause of this .
I hear you, but I book travel so far ahead (I already have next Xmas flights to Sean's family in Edmonton booked) that I am just never without something booked.
Same as many others. Been married almost 18 years. My wife has her maiden name on her passport and we travel often, always booking the ticket under her maiden name. Never had a problem in US, Canada, UK, Spain, France or Mexico
I just picked which date I was going to change it and booked under the married name. When the trip gets closer (2 weeks) you just go get a new passport at the office. My husband figured out it was cheaper to wait until 2 weeks out and go to the office quick rather than mail his in with expedited fees.
But I have to apply for a whole new passport and the passport number will change...sometimes I need passport # to book. Argh.
