We have to spend one night at a Cancun Hotel before we check into Temptation. I was going to book Sotavento which is almost across the road, but they're showing that they're sold out :(. I should have expected that with it being Semana Santa. If anyone knows of another place close by that's not bad and under $100/night let me know! Thanks

If anyone cares, we booked at the Cancun Clipper for $100. It's a short cab ride and really close to the Surfin Burrito that some friends we met at TTR took us to for dinner one night. See you all early on Mar 31!

I saw someone staying at the cancun bay resort next door for $71 a night.

I was looking to get in there, but it was around $300/night. Possibly due to it being Semana Santa when we arrive it's priced higher. Not worth spending that much more just so I can save a few bucks on the taxi. We'll be getting up and heading straight to Temptation first thing on the 31st.

Google tells me there are a handful of Hostels for about $25 / night. If you want to splurge, for about $85 per night, you can book a private room in the most popular and highly rated one which is: Mezcal Hostel

This is not a recommendation, I just like to Google shit...

We had thought of doing that in order to get a much cheaper flight, but everything within walking distance was sold out that week of April.

I saw some hostels, but I just don't think that's a good fit for us. I had my eye on Sotavento, which is pretty close, but I still don't think Mrs. Jackson would want to walk with our bags the two blocks to Temptation. So Calypso it is, and Surfin Burrito for dinner that night. Jack and Andrea Nunes took us there on one of our previous trips and we loved the place.
