Hi Guys, I’m confused, Hotel theme nights seem to be slightly different to Cancuncare. Shed any light? Thank you!

FYI - anyone who is wondering about why CancunCare (CCC) theme nights are different from Temptation Resort (TTR) theme nights.
There was a long time when Temptation had only the one, single theme night, lingerie Night, back when it was Blue Bay Getaway and even into the Temptation era. Late (or rather as they got closer to the reno, TTR added/experimented with a couple of different nights, which were subject to change without much notice, were sort of lame, etc.

Thus, CCC to the rescue. Folks who wanted to party, dress in naughty wear and be "out in public" so to speak in it, got together on here and started (I'm really jamming history into a mash-up with this) and created the calendaring of various different party, i.e. "Theme," nights. Thus, the Naughty Schoolgirl was put in place, and White Night was at the resort, which is sometimes good, sometimes not, and so forth. Now, we've got all kinds of themes, many more than 7 needed to fill up a week, and some people like some themes and not tohers and that's all good.

Basically, the people who are about 500% more likely to actually participate on a theme night are here on CCC anyway, so you are much more likely to see (except on lingerie Night) the CCC people dressed up and participating than the regular resort people who don't know about, or don't care about, CCC.

There ya go.

 

Yes they are different. Most people go with hotel theme nights. Cancuncare theme nights are usually followed by groups of people who come together .

For anyone who is trying to figure out "How do I make this Theme Night thing work?" Here's the deal, or thing, or plan ... whatever.

Find a theme night thread for the month, or time period when you are planning on going. Get a couple posts in that thread. Make note of the other posters in the thread, as they are the other people who are party-interested during the same time frame as you.

All it Really takes to have a kick-ass time on a theme night is 3 willing ladies deciding to make it a party. If you get the first 3 committed to a plan of "What are we going to wear?" you can always get 4, 5...8... 20 to join in. It's the core 3 that's the key. Take the time to glance at people's profiles, check out their pics, find people ho you think you would vibe with ina positive way, be able to hang out with and have Your kind of a good time.

For instance, there's a FB group for March 1-8 which we just got invited to, and it's already got 100 members. So, lots of folks over there who know nothing about CCC, but There Are CCC people in that FB group. *shrug* I don't know why it's that way, I just know it's a thing. Nice thing about FB are the folks' profiles, so you get more back data on them and how they live, what they like to do, etc than here on the CCC, so that's one advantage. THe secret/closed nature of some groups can be a negative. 6 in, 6 out. Whatever.

So, making note of who has responded for "Our" time frame of being at TTR, and also who has commented positively about one/more of the themes, e.g. Naughty Schoolgirl & Kilts for guys, you comment in-thread, or you can PM if you don't want it "out there" that you are Down for being a Naughty Schoolgirl or that your lady is, and you find a couple other couples who are also going to do likewise. Trust me, people are doing this as I'm typing this post. Make a simple plan to meet up before going down to the party.

With people we know, our friends, we'll plan to meet at their room, or they at ours, then walk as a tiny group to the designated "Meeting Place," which we used to use the Quiet Pool's bar, called the bikini Bar. Now, since I don't know if that is still a good environment, I'm thinking the Sports Bar, up on the plinth near the actual bar in the back. Meet there at whatever time seems good to you, we usually would say between 9:00 to 9:15 p.m.

Then, you'd hang out there at the meeting spot and have the first drinks, get a round of shots or two to get people jump-started into party-mode, perhaps get some pics and then about 10:00 p.m. invade Patyo's (Now Bash) en masse!

It's awesome, I've got to tell you, to be in the lead of about 20 people, with 10 ladies in White Dress Shirts and Heels and not much, if anything, else. Cool!

I did not know that Marshe. You're right, that's ... weird. Do they take the bartender that's working by himself, witht he runner going back and forth, as necessary staff for one of the other restaurants? Interesting.

So, I suppose that question's been answered now. Sports Bar is the meet spot, seems like. Everyone cool witht hat? Of course, nobody Has to meet at the Sports Bar, it's just convenient. You can meet in your rooms, or say screw it and not meet at all and just go party. It is Your vacation and You make the rules for Your vacation!

 

In the old days, the bikini Bar was needed to serve drinks for Bella Vista.
And it was handy for the 'waiting for a table' crowd as Bella Vista always seemed to be backed up.
But now She is reservations only and every resto has its own bar.
So no need for bikini after dark
