Not to change the subject of immediate fun trips to TTR Cancun, but was wondering if anyone has had an update on the new resort in the D.R. ? Since my wife asked and we havnt heard since our premier meeting last year.

If it happens, we will definitely check it out, however, I think they will have a difficult time finding a quality staff there that understands hospitality. Our experience is that the culture of customer service in Cancun if far superior to that in the DR. Friendly service is difficult to find there, at least in our experiences.
Totally agree! We did PC at the Excellence a few years ago and found that the service in Mexico was better. Plus some other issues with DR. But, we’d probably check it out just so people stop asking us why we like Cancun so much.
Without them showing pictures or really even promoting the D.R.TTR that much, I feel like it is way further away then beginning of 2019. I would probably try it out, just so we can go somewhere different for a change. But it would have to be with a group. I would hate to show up and it be boring, and I would have wasted a trip to the regular TTR. I feel like that point is really where they are going to struggle to get Temptation regulars to make a change.
We will certainly skip this until it gets traction. Biggest worry is the splitting of the TTR party crowd. We don't go to Temptation now because it's in Mexico (or Dominican Republic). We go there because it's where the party is at. Also, it's a longer, more expensive flight.
Too bad they didn't decide to rebuild in Cabo San Lucas, as the weather is great in Cabo all year round (perhaps a little cool in Dec/Jan for pool time depending on how soft you are), almost NIL rain or hurricane issues.
