Arriving next week. Forecast says mid 70's for highs and mid 60's for lows. Rain every day but not sure if that is an all day rain or a 15 minute rain shower at 4:00 PM like Florida. Is the pool heated? Will it be cold? Not sure how SEXY lingerie and sweater is going to work.
The pool being heated is a topic that goes around and around. And there is never a 100% clear answer how it works. Months ago there were complaints of it being cold, but the most recent trip reports I have been reading indicate that the heat has been turned on. So perhaps next week you will be fine with warm water. As far as the rain, that is pretty much predicted every day in Cancun. Much like Florida, It might be like a 20 minute inconvenience. There are very few actual rained out days down there yearly.
We were there Dec 27 - Jan 4th.....on Lingere night Joe actually brought my robe down to Bash and I wasn't the only one wearing one...LOL!! The pool was great, the rain was minimal and the atmosphere was amazing....cheers!!!
We were there a week ago and thought the pool was quite warm compared to what we have seen in the past. The rest of the weather sucked though.
Need to see where people are from. We were there 12-16 of january. Clouds and low to mid 70s for 3 days was cold. Could not go in the pool and barely go in the 'lukewarm tub.'We are from the southeast. The Canadians and northern US folks could tolerate the 'Cold' a little better.
We were there from Dec 31st - Jan 14th. First few days were overcast, not warm. Could get into the pool, although not hot! Obviously heated somewhat. The second week we saw temps of 29 deg C. The Sexy Pool was like a warm bath!
we went in Oct one year and it rained every single day .. and night the pool was fine it was actually warmer than the outside rain and the bartenders kept serving we thought it was weird but with no lightning as soon as it started raining everyone in the pool jumped out and ran away ..
If we can see the sun and the temp is mid 70, you 'll surely see our butts in the pool. All this beats the hell out of the minus 20 we've been getting!!
