Hey all! Just got back from 5 days at Breathless. We loved it! Definitely one of our favorite trips ever. From the moment we arrived everything was so smooth and the service was outstanding. Our room wasn't ready when we arrived around 11 AM, so they escorted us to a "hospitality" room with showers, couches, TV's, towels, everything. We changed into our swim gear and headed to the pool!

While waiting for our room we went to the party pool. No problems getting chairs. Water was great! Strolled over the bar and got a couple of drinks (Grey Goose) and then laid back for some sun. It was not extremely crowded and didn't notice any ladies topless at this point. Around 1:30 we headed back to the Concierge and found that our room was ready. The bell man brought our luggage and escorted us to the room. We were overlooking the giant hot tub at the end of the "party pool" on the 3rd floor. The room was amazing. Great views of the pool and ocean beyond. Despite being so close to the pool we didn't have any issues with loud music. Then again we never really tried to go up for naps during the day, we were having too much fun at the pool!

As for the room, we loved it. Very clean, A/C works great. Free WiFi worked perfectly. We LOVED the shower. All the other stuff is fairly normal...safe, mini bar with beer/water, etc. There is a tablet in each room which you can use to order room service, adjust the AC, explore options at the hotel, etc. Pretty cool!

So we pretty much stayed at the party pool the entire time. That is where we had the most fun. It gets most crowded in the mid-afternoon and I would say there were maybe 10 ladies topless on average. Usually Crissy would be the one getting that started lol. We were there for 2 foam parties and had a blast each time. High-energy music, fun crowd, sexy dancers, and great weather!

As for the food, it was good! We only made it to 2 of the restaurants (Asian and Italian) and both were yummy. The rest of the time we either ordered room service or went to the buffet which was pretty amazing with the selection for breakfast and lunch. So many choices!! Fresh fruits, salads, Latin and American cuisine. Room service was also very good and delivered promptly within 35-45 minutes. Another cool little feature they have, which I haven't seen before, is the "do not disturb" food delivery box. There is a little storage box in the wall next to the room door. If you order room service but don't want to be disturbed you turn on a little red light from a switch by the door and they will put your food in the box. They can access it from the outside, and you open it from the inside and take your food out. Pretty neat!

Drinks were on point! Never had any issue getting top-shelf anything. Grey Goose, Ketel One, Belvedere, 1800 Silver, you name it they had it. And the service at the bars was usually very good. We tip well, and they remembered us and would have drinks waiting or start making them as soon as we walked up. Victor at the party pool bar was really good!

Nightlife, could use a little improvement. It's nothing like Temptation in this regard. There is one club "After Dark" which stays open until 2 or 3. We went there most nights. It was fun, because we met fun people during the day and hung out at night. The music is good, but one night it was almost entirely Mexican pop and EDM which was a little bit of a let down but we still had a good time!

Not gonna go into the beach, as many others have already mentioned it isn't good. If beaches are really important to you, look elsewhere.

Overall, we really had a great time. The weather was perfect, service was fabulous at the bars, restaurants, buffet, room service, across the board. Check-in and check-out were smooth (the hospitality rooms are a nice touch!). We will definitely put Breathless on our list of places to return to for our next trip! Not sure if I covered everything I wanted to talk about but I am tired of typing lol... if anyone has any questions feel free to ask!

    hi there
we were thinking of going back to temptations but heard about this resort.
night time.... Do they have like a lobby bar etc to hang at that people attend?
During the day at the party pool, are they doing games etc to get people involved?

Hi Kristy, so sorry for the delayed response just now seeing this :) As for the night time, there are several options. There are multiple bars around the property that people hang out at, as well as a decent nightclub. Some bars are inside, some are outside. We noticed people mingling and hanging out at pretty much all of them. During the day at the party pool, they do not do games similar to Temptation. It is more about the music, DJ, dancers, foam party, and just the vibe in general. Hope that helps!

    Hello,

I love your resort review about Breathless, its really detailed and good.
My question: My friends about 7 and I are planning a boys trip to Mexico to let loose and have a good time, keep in mind that we all vary in ages, the oldest being 40 and the youngest 26, half the guys are married and the other half are not, so those guys are really looking to have a "really" good time..
We are looking for a place that provides both a good time, good food and good drinks along with good accommodations and I'm recommending this place to my friends. Is it a good place to party and meet girls for the single guys but be relaxing and fun for the married guys? You did mention somewhere that you have seen groups of single women at the resort but no big group of guys.
Do you recommend Breathless to a group of guys in general or should we look elsewhere? I don't want to disappoint,

    Thanks

You might be disapppointed. Pretty couples orientated. Last time we were there there was a large group of men that were out of place in the party atmosphere. A few were d bags so everyone split when they showed up. There were a few groups of women but they were not usually single ...just girl trips for married friends. .. but a few were single.

If you are not concerned about the party atmosphere or hookup and only going for food and relaxation it will be good. breathless is a party resort where you prob want to bring your own date to.

Thanks a lot for the quick response..
I will share your insight with the other guys, many of us married guys are mostly going to relax, eat and drink well so Breathless sounds pretty good but for the others that are going to party and hook up probably not the best option.

    Thanks again,

Do you have any recommendations for our group?

Same with us, last time we were there, there was a large group of guys that were db’s and everyone stayed away. The club actually totally cleared out one night when these guys came in. They’d get drunk and loud and obnoxious and try hitting on any lady close and that included grabbing and touching. Not a good situation. Not saying you and your friends would act like that, but a group of guys at a majority couples resort is going to be looked at hesitantly no matter what unfortunately.

Wow. Only 10 ladies? Us Europeans don't get this at all! In a resort where it's promoted? The rest of the resort sounds great ( it should $$$) but I don't think we're swayed from Temptation just yet.

Glad you had a great time though! :marshe:
