How long should we expect it to be from the time we land until we arrive at the resort? Thanks

Customs can take up to an hour, usually less. About a 30 minute trip depending on number of stops.

It depends on when you land, and day of the week. We usually come in mid-day, and on a Wednesday or Thursday. It took us about 10 minutes to clear customs last time, and from plane to the USA transfer van was about 25 minutes, then another 20 or so to the resort.

We've done it in less than an hour, but very few in the line at customs helped.

From landing? Like everyone else says it depends on customs. On Saturdays it has taken a couple hours (customs serpentine lines backed out to the steps) to get through the airport so we stopped flying weekends an now usually go Monday/sometimes Tuesday. Last year on a Monday we walked straight through customs (no line) grabbed our luggage and were in our private transfer in less than 15 minutes from landing. It was magical ... walking off the plane to luggage in hand was a few minutes. Our bags were rolling out as we walked to the luggage carousel.. frigging fast!

Speed tip..... slip the transfer company rep a few bucks and he will put you to the front of the line (no one will notice) and there is no waiting under the canopy. Might even get an upgraded vehicle.

You can use the transfer vans that stop at several other resorts along the way, but this can take quite a while to get you to the resort. The better choice is to book with USA Transfers through this site. They are extremely prompt and efficient, the vans are all new, and the drivers are personable. You'll be their only stop, so it's direct from the airport to the resort, with no wasting time along the way. And if you do want to make a quick stop for something, just ask and they'll gladly help you out.

We always use Best Day (BD) for other resorts and are using them again for this trip. Next time, maybe we'll use USA Transfers.

Here are a few tips for your Cancun arrival:
    1. Be sure and to take a pee break before leaving
    2. Stop at the Air Margaritaville bar and buy the appropriate number of beers for the road (Hey, you ain't the one driving!)
    3. Get on your shuttle
    4. Start making friends (Remember, you're the one with a bag o' beer)

Make sure you fill out your Mexican tourist card online before leaving home. This saves you tons of time!!! Be sure to book your transfer with USA Transfers, they are fast, easy and you're not waiting on any other passengers. We flew in on December 27th and were through customs, picked up our luggage, picked up our beers from the beer cart and were at TTR within an hour.....wish we were doing it all over again today ;) Cheers!!

I don't know about Best Day, but often USA Transfer will have beer in the van for $1, or they just give them to you. If they don't have beers you can ask them to stop (there is a close convenience store) and you can get beers for like a buck. I just say this cause if you are able to wait 5 minutes more, you can save a bunch of money if you plan to buy 4+ beers.
