Have heard good things about All Ritmo Resort and Waterpark from many folks.
still owned by owners of Temptation and Desire I believe, but managed by another company.

Yes, we went to the All Ritmo Resort and Waterpark May 2017. We had an awesome family time. It so reminded me of Temptation, but with kids in the mix. I say this in the way that it was the atmosphere that made the trip. Staff reminded my of the way the TTR staff operates, really wanting to get you to party, and really making the kids feel special with lots of fun stuff for them. Being members it was not very expensive at all to book one of the beachfront units (a must). And the nightly entertainment was very fun. The water park (and water-park bar) were also legit!

On the negative, I would say the food was a little worse then TTR pre-reno. But still I didn't think it was bad at all (and my food standards are pretty high). The rooms and bathrooms are also pretty dated, but again same as TTR, we were never in it. And when we were it was hanging on the patio overlooking the ocean and beach. The other thing I would ask about is the ages of the children. My son was 5, and loved it. We are going to go again late this summer when he will be 7. After about 8 or 9, I can't see it having that much of an appeal to them. (unless you know you were going with a large group friends and family)

Is it more geared towards younger kids or would a teenager enjoy it as well. Our 16 year old is getting pretty damn tired of us going to Mexico without him!

It's definitely geared more towards younger kids. He probably would be bored unless he meet a cute 16 year old girl there. When we were there the oldest kid was probably 13.
