We are going in April and will need to some vanilla pics to show the family. Anyone have any safe and vanilla activities they recommend? Or good places to take those pics?
There are plenty of areas around the resort you can take pics that won't have anyone questioning you. The sports bar looks completely normal, and during the day you can easily get pics in there playing bar games or having a drinking without anything questionable. All the restaurants, hallways and lobby areas are fine to take pictures in (it would just depend on what you were wearing in the pictures). Also, there are non-motorized water sports at the resort you can do, and Edwardo(Lalo) will be happy to take pictures for you and make things look family friendly. In walking distance down the beach you can rent wave-runners or get a massage, and those would be normal pictures as well.
Take a trip to the Isles Mejeres you can get on the ferry and take it there for cheap and rent a golf cart at the island for $40 and drive around and explore the whole island. Theirs a Dolphin thing and a cool turtle farm that you can visit and some cool markets and places to eat. plenty of good photos to take there.
MOST of the resort has "vanilla" spots to take pics. Avoid the main pool area, or the nightclub/Bash areas. No problems. However, I think I have taken a grand total of about 10 pictures in 4 trips..LOL too busy taking mental pictures.
I second the Isla Mujeres trip - it's worth it. An idea: if you're taking a private shuttle from the airport to the resort, ask/tip your driver to take you the long way along the main Cancun strip (Punta Nizuc and Blvd Kukulcan). You'd pass all the resorts, hotels and clubs! It will take longer (40 mins vs. 20 mins) but you could definitely take all the vanilla pics you'd need from the car whenever it slows or stops. And if all else fails, just post on here requesting vanilla pics. We all have them for this exact reason, and you can just share ours as your own.
Isla is a great reprieve from the mentalness. we do it every time we go TTR We love daytrip to north beach
Im sure people have mentioned Xcaret there is also jet skies and parasaling which was fun. deff take a trip to isla mujeres its reallly nice
Awwww bummer, but to be sure, are we talking about the same one? He used to work at the restaurants, and then after the reopening told me that he was the manager of the water-sports. Really liked him, and sad to hear he would have quit. I thought he loved what he was doing now.
The airport is usually vanilla. Vanilla generally ends in the USA Transfers van as it leaves the airport.
