Hey all, Can you let me know the vodka choices at the new temptations resort? Was thinking about bringing out own bottle if necessary while there. We are in a tower room upgraded choice if that matters for liquor choices but are NOT premier members.
OOOh a topic near and dear to my heart. So in August they were not following any rules yet I think because of the opening issues and our options (we had a blue band ie tower) were pretty much any vodka they had which is grey goose, sky, Smirnoff, absolute and skol (house vodka). Then when we returned in November we were on a referral so we had choice due to being a member and got grey goose when we could (they kept running out at the premier bar during the day) so would go with sky when out. I know non-members can get sky, Smirnoff and skol. And absolut is considered members. I assume grey goose would be members only too but I don’t know that for a fact since we were able to get it at reopening (but maybe they were not following rules yet) as a non-member. Anyone know the answer for sure now on grey goose availability for non-members???
Also, be wary, you can ask the pool waitresses for 'brand name' spirit, but you won't necessarily get it! We had one pool guy, Jonathan, who listened (and was tipped) who was the only one who delivered what was ordered (we can tell the difference!) Even when you go to the pool bar to order yourself, I've witnessed the bar staff (usually the new staff) pouring the cheaper liquor, even when I specified. I suspect they've been prompted to do this by management. Never had any issues with any of the guys we knew from before (Freddy, Armando etc).
Grey Goose seemed to always be available as a member if you asked for it - we had a large group and they even put a bottle in an ice bucket for us on our bar table. But with a nice tip to the right bartender, a regular guest can get their own bottle of Goose behind the bar, though they are more discreet about it.
Thanks for the info So we get a blue band for the tower that will give us access to most of the vodka types? I would assume they will continue to do that in Jan 2018 as well. Would anyone know that has been there after the opening?
No, just having a blue band (staying in the tower ) doesn't give you all the member benefits. You still don't have access to the premier bar and the upgraded drink items. But there are differences above staying in a regular room, and the main ones are: No charge access to the rooftop pools with the upgraded daytime lunch/snack food menu (where I imagine you DO get better booze), Poolside and beach service (where I bet if you tip correctly the server might get your drinks from the premier bar with the better booze). The vodka choices on the premium bar selection are: Gray Goose, Stolichnaya, Kettle one, Finlandia, Absolute Blue, Absolute Citron, Absolute Tangerine, Absolute Cranberry. (The Gray Goose and the Kettle One are probably the two they actually enforce.)
