We are first timers too - saw all the posts and reviews and plunged in. We didnt want a nudist camp but seems like an adult summer camp vibe on the ocean. I suspect we will feel like 25 there like anywhere no problem.
LOL...good luck getting to bed before 1 am. I am someone who goes to bed at 10 pm at home, but you get caught up in the nighttime party at TTR, and before you know it, you are eating a burger at Paty-O's at 3 am. [Hey, do they make those burgers at Bash now??] The nightlife is great at TTR, nothing like other resorts when there's nothing to do but have dinner, watch some sort of lame musical stage show put on by the entertainment staff, and head to bed at 9 pm. The Sexy Pool doesn't get going until at least 11 am, so adjust your schedule to go to bed later and get up later. The smart people have a siesta in the early evening so they can make it to the nighttime party. I've never been able to wind down enough to take a nap, so I just run on adrenalin the whole trip and have to be carried onto the plane in a bucket. Fill a suitcase with Red Bull and energy shots.
Yes I think they make burgers.. It's Call BASH burgers I'm unable to take a nap in the evening otherwise I'll do like the last time .. Sleep from 4 pm to 9 Then go eat and go back to bed at 10 pm until 4 am to go pick up Ben then sleep from 5 to 8 to catch out ride to the airport.. Sleeping during the afternoon/evening not an option for me. So yeah it's a bummer !!! No nap for me .. I'm bringning 5 hours shot for me this year ( I only brought some for ben the last trip ..
I've spent 6 days at Moorea over 2 trips to Vegas, love it there. Don't know whether you experienced mid week or weekends. Midweek there is very chill, reggae music, very relaxing. It's much diff at Moorea on the weekends than midweek, more of a party, can lots of posers and 20-something girls acting silly, rap music all day. At Moorea, everyone seems to keep to their own group or partner unless they are hitting on someone. At TTR, there are some couples that don't even see each other all day, because each one is roaming around being social. Or you move around the pool with your partner chatting with people, or they come to you and chat. Or you can hang out at the beach for awhile, or play beach volleyball twice a day. Very very few posers at TTR (though spring break may be the exception). And by 5 pm at TTR, things can get pretty crazy in the Sexy Pool, stuff that would get you thrown out of Moorea after being hosed down with disinfectant . Other major diff is that the drinks are $18 a pop at Moorea and FREEEEE at the Sexy Pool! (okay, not FREE, but already paid for, which feels like free)
Jess, you and I will be the only ones sitting in Bash at 6:00 pm drinking while everyone else is napping. See you there!
Thanks for your reply! Yes we talked to a couple people at Moorea, but most folks didn't seem interested. So we kept to ourselves. I'm fairly certain our tab for drinks at Moorea was the same as our per night at Temptations. So it might as well be free. Not hard to do at $18 per Kool-Aid drink with a splash of rum! Vegas pools get weird on Saturdays when all the SoCal regulars show up. Thurs &Fri are my favorite days. Lots of things happen IN that pool. I think as long as you're subtle they look the other way. What's the deal with volleyball? Is that in the sports pool?
