Correct that it is mostly couples. Incorrect that it is mostly swingers. I would say 1/3rd swingers, 1/3rd people curious (sometimes called swayers where maybe they have adult fun with limits in special circumstances, maybe not) and 1/3rd there for just the party. The best description I have heard for the place is spring break for adults. Things happen. But it is mostly about the party. Singles can and do have fun there. Just wanted to set the right expectation. If I was planning a bachelor party for my buddies then I usually prefer places like vegas, strip clubs, etc because we like to be around a lot of ladies but we are not there for sexual activities. A vacation with my wife then I love TTR. It is all perspective. IF I was a single looking for 'play' then actually I probably would book TTR but still go in with the expectation of just having fun and if the 'play' happens around that fun then great. Hope that made since. All depends on what you are looking for.
I can see this being a lot of fun for a bachelor party, and I can also seeing it being a little frustrating. It will really all come down to the individuals. There are single guys that come to TTR and several have become great, lifelong friends. They're great guys and a very welcome part of the party. It's when guys not experienced with TTR come based on rumor or the advice of a travel agent and are expecting a free-for-all buffet, then drink all day and it doesn't happen, things tend to go sideways. They got bad advice and that has to be frustrating, especially with so many sexy ladies around. You guys can have a great time at TTR and will likely meet a lot of new friends, but I wouldn't expect the Vegas bachelor party type of experience or you may be a little disappointed. Think of it more as a big pool party with lots of friends.
I agree, and what drove me to Mexico was to try something different. Vegas and places like that are places we go all the time especially birthdays and stuff. Our bachelor party intentions are never to get laid (if it happens then oh well) but to just be away from our own wives/girlfriends and be free to do and say whatever we want, drink as much as we want have no curfew or no one to answer to in the morning after a long night of boozing. We are starting off at the strip club, the night before our flight out of Atlanta(the strip club capital) so topless women laying around is not gonna impress us at all once we arrive. I just don't want people to get the wrong idea on here. We are not "those guys" we just want a adult only scene with food booze and music but not too much of a young and rowdy of a crowd
And actually this is why im glad i found this forum. 1. Never been to mexico, 2. Wanted to know more about what to expect and what this chain of resorts is all about because usually when visiting other countries it's usually a boring sandals or moon palace with my wife so I wanted to make sure this one was bit more upbeat and not boring. 3. I will admit, the advertisement does give off the wrong vibe and a too good to be true lol BUT common sense a always keep you from looking stupid.
I would totally have a B party here. After being here and knowing how much fun it is I could not imagine going any other place.
You know what, it sounds like you have got it figured out and a realistic perspective already and will have a great time. I don't think I would change the reservations.
Sounds like you will have a blast. You may get some push back from some couple there. Just my opinion. I really think the party is the best in Mexico!! But I don't think me personally would have a lot of fun without my wife!!! Ive seen some cool ass single dudes pull it off at TTR but I have also seen some crash and burn, Vacation is what you make it. TTR get the reputation as a sex everywhere topless free for all!!!
[QUOTE=" TTR get the reputation as a sex everywhere topless free for all!!![/QUOTE] Yes, and that is not even close to being true. Most of the sexiness (and really the best kind) is with the person you brought. But I really would consider bringing your ladies, even though that is not tradition for a bachelor party. After all, I bet they would love a little sexy, harmless flirting and mingling too. They'll make friends also, and you don't have to be holding hands all day. After all, they were single once too!
Did you end up booking somewhere else? If you didn’t, honestly don’t worry. I’ve mainly gone with groups and I’ve always had a good time. We’ve never have trouble meeting fun people whether they are single in groups or part of couple. Every year is different in terms of what the crowd is like and that’s part of the fun! Don’t sweat it-I’ve seen lots of bachelor/bachelorette parties and they’ve always had fun and they didn’t have to leave the resort to do it.
