I'm a bit confused about theme nights. I am noticing references to TTR theme nights and CCC theme nights. Are they the same? If not, how do you know which is being acknowledged on a particular evening?
Not always. Sometimes TTR theme's are either mild or very boring so CCC themes seem to find a way to spice them up a bit.
But on top of that- there are also individual groups doing their own spin on things. I understand the confusion ... I would consider the resort driven themes level 1, ccc themes level 2, and the individual group themes level 3 ... Someone did an amazing job charting this up for January 1-28 - I haven’t seen it done past that date. Just hope all the superheroes don’t show up on heaven/hell night and the PJs on glow night, lol. There should be some consistency, IMO. Otherwise what’s the point in having a theme?!?
In my opinion, if it is your first trip and you aren't going at a time when there is a large CancunCare repeater group that is very organized with dates and themes, then it is probably best to just stick with the resorts main themes. But if you have met many people online first and your KNOW there are like 10+ people dressing different then the standard theme, and you like that theme more, then jump on it. Normally groups of people that know each other will change the standard to something they like more, but for a newbie to feel comfortable with that my suggestion is to make sure you're communicating with that group first and you plan on hanging with them when you are there. This way when you are there you don't feel like you are breaking the mold from the standard theme on your own. The resorts standard themes are: Monday - Superhero Tuesday - Heaven and Hell Wednesday - lingerie Thursday - Throw Back (decades) Friday - White Saturday - Glow Sunday - Bedtime Bash. Often CC groups will try to piggyback off the standard theme and add some additional complexity to it. Check the roll call during your time to find out more.
And trust me, I am not trying to dissuade you from doing a CancunCare theme you like. By all means go for it if you feel comfortable. I do feel sometimes people overthink the themes (I have done it in the past myself), when really you could wear anything and everything (or lack of) you want and no one would ever think "Why is that person wearing that". There are all kinds of people, wearing all kinds of goofy and sexy stuff, and nothing really matters.
You nailed it ScubaSteve!! Well said!! Go with the flow!! Tune in with the conversation in the sexy pool and if you ultimately don’t want to theme up that day...or that night...so be it. Make your own rules!!! It’s your vacation!!
Back to the TTR vs. CCC vs. Group theme. I understand the TTR theme is held at Bash, but CCC and group themes are held where? I'm thinking the "custom" themes are held in a guest room or a separate crowd area are at Bash, but not sure. We are not flying all the way to Mexico just for the tame theme is what I'm trying to say...
The CancunCare themes are also held at bash. There really isn't anything "held", so to say though. You kind of just show up where everyone is grouped together in your outfits. There are like short shows/dances put on by the entertainment staff that kind of go along with the themes. Some nights outside entertainers are brought in to put on a show. Then everyone just dances and hangs out at Bash the rest of the night. Sometimes, if the weather is poor, things are moved to the sports bar. There isn't a separate crowd area at bash, but liked dressed people might stick together. If you are getting invited to a room, I assume the theme is "take your clothes off". There aren't like huge rooms parties(not talking sex things) on the regular. Sometimes people do organize room crawls though. Look for one at your time if someone organizing it. Those normally occur after dinner, before people head to bash.
