For myself, I don't care one way or another if someone has a pic of me. My wife is another story. Though she has no problem being naked in a crowd of people with whom she feels comfortable, she doesn't want her pics on the 'net - or else I'd be posting them here.
I love your attitude, We have friends here keep asking for pictures also. but they do not want to go to TTR.
Clearly "it depends" was going to win this one. Cause that's basically how it is and the offical "rule" posted on TTR's website is ambiguous as hell. My most basic interpretation is: No pictures/video around the sexy pool, and no pictures on specific (unspecified) theme nights. <- this is basically no problem for me, how I already operate and I completely understand. However, IMO it isn't clear at all, and security would probably have zero ability to know how to properly enforce this. When I say it isn't clear, I mean: 1. It's states no pictures. BUT it doesn't say no phones. Someone could have their phone and say they are just checking facebook, but really they are sneaking pics. 2. What is officially the area around the sexy pool defined as. Can I take pictures around the premier deck/bar facing away from the sexy pool? 3. Why just the sexy pool? I can take pictures around the quiet pool and that's OK...I know none of you go there, but for the record people are just as topless there. Obviously this is a near impossibility to solve, and everyone has a different opinion. I would hate to go on vacations and basically have no pictures. For my first two trips to TTR, I didn't want to be "that guy", and the camera essentially stayed in the room. That was a bummer after the trip was over though. Since then I have gotten better at how and when to take pictures, and I never have had anyone say anything negative to me, and I have never compromised anyone. Pictures posted on this forum, can be seen by anyone (if you aren't private). So all the pictures under my profile are PG rated(expect one), and all the people that are in them are actual friends that don't have a problem with what I posted. Pictures on facebook are slightly different if you think about it. If you were captured in a background picture on FB, it would have to already conform to the no nudity standards, and there really isn't a way anyone could see it, if I didn't know you. My profile is set to private, so my pictures are all private, you would need to be a friend of mine (which I only accept people I know) to see the pictures. So that risk of someone's employer or prude family member coming across you on the internet in the background of one of my PG-13 pictures is impossible. I also use a regular tough camera with a flip-up screen. IMO this allows people to know I am not just taking pictures around the pool that could go strait to the internet. I am literally going to have to wait until the trip is over, go home, download them on to my PC, edit them, then make an album. This allows me to assure I am not accidentally hitting the internet with anything that shouldn't make it's way there
We like taking photos of mainly just us. Especially dressed up. We also try to take generic "oh hey we went on vacation" photos you know for family and friends haha. We are for photos as long as people are respectful about it and aren't perving out of eye site just to capture photos.
I remember years ago when we took hundreds of pictures at the sexy pool. Our group always had a camera going. We would then send them all to one person in the group that would put them all on one CD and make copies for everyone in the group. Ah.. the good old days... none of the picture ever ended up on the internet.... but I have at least 6 years of cds with at least 500 pictures per year that we can go back and look at and remember the fun times.... Pictures were never a problem till one year a couple form months posted on here they were coming for the first time and were going to tear it up! And they did. They had a great and wild time. And of course under the old philosophy lots of pictures were taken. Everything was fine till her soon to be ex-husband found some of the pictures online and took them to court with him. Now no pictures for anyone. But hey... in 20 years when my memory doesn't work so well I can always pull out those old cds and relive the good old days.... Jamie
