Tell me what you've heard about this new no-camera policy

We stopped taking pics of everything on our 3rd sun destination vacation. Typically we now take a couple of pics when in town and a few of us in pretty back drops around the area we are in. When we go on vacation, the phones stay in the room. We are on vacation!

Honestly cameras/phones out around the resort means the top goes back on for the rest of the trip. I do not want any photos of me/us in the background on the internet.

 

The no photography rule is about being courteous to the other guests.

 

as you can see from some other peoples comments that is irrelevant to them. (i'm betting they are the same people who save seats and beg for more EDM at the pool )...they gotta have pics to document every moment and encounter on their vacation. (even that makes no sense to me...why?)
there are unlimited opportunities to take pics that don't involve the Sexy pool or Bash or making other people FEEL inhibited....just do that.
a lot of people just don't understand the power that prudish, virtue signalling and religious people back home have. all it takes is an anti-sex religious frump or 3rd wave feminist to find the right compromising picture of you....even just the innocent, yet decodent, fun we all have at TTR ......and a LOT of people would be up shit creek.
AND if you want to see the results of allowing cameras at the 'sexy pool' just look at Breathless....they are all about pics and social media shit....and you'll be lucky to find a handful of women who will be topless at their 'sexy pool"

 

BTW,, when Coco Bongo was promoting-the foam party , they Video taped the whole thing ,, never knew what for .

 

We would hit all the pools/ocean early in the mornings and took our pictures with no problems.... There might be a few people who were out, but not many , so plenty of spots for her to pose, without imposing on anyone else's privacy ....

 

At far end of the pool during the foam party, my partner attempted to take a picture of one of our friends, nobody else in the shot, no boobs on display....security came over and a firm 'no pictures'. Same deal up at the Sky Bar (not me this time but somebody else trying to take a picture of the ocean on their phone) and saw it happen at Bash as well. If security aren't around, it's fine. None of the other staff cares. If security so much as see you pointing a camera or phone, they will ask you to stop.
