Tell me what you've heard about this new no-camera policy

With today technology, no camera would mean no phones. Really hard to enforce...

 

If you've been going to TTR for a few years, and an unintended pic of you hasn't popped up on someones FB page or Google, then you're either lucky or a ghost.

Ive ran across at least 3 pics on the internet of me and my wife in the background at TTR. No biggie really, and they were all tame pics, but I can understand peoples apprehension about pics at TTR. Not everyone (especially some employers) would appreciate the TTR "climate" like we all do, especially with the BS reviews on Tripadvisor.

 

I've always taken lots of pics--of us and our group. I hope it's obvious to anyone in the vicinity that I'm aiming at people who are intentionally posing, not creeping on people who just happen to be in the background. And I'm very careful what gets posted (in fact, I make sure to take a TON of SFW pics to post so it doesn't look sketchy. I mean, it's totally weird now if someone goes on vacation and doesn't post pics. That's what I think would make people really suspicious!)

I'd be sad if I can't take pictures of my friends at the sexy pool and at night (how the hell else am I supposed to remember what was going on during that 7-day shot binge I call "vacation?!")

Yes, I'm sure I'm naked (*cough* hypothetically *cough* even in a naked headstand...) in a lot strangers' pictures, but, really, what are the odds someone I wouldn't want to would ever see those pics? And if they did, I'd just say, "Huh, weird, I guess I see a little resemblance. She's having a lot more fun than I ever have, though!" ;-)

No one is saying u can’t take pics of your friends, but does it have to be at bash or the sexy pool?? And there are places in both of those areas that I guess would work for pics that isn’t facing the others in the background. Yes it might not be big deal for some people that they end up on the internet topless or involved in some other shenanigans, but it is a big deal to others. Some people don’t want thier friends, co workers, parents, kids knowing what they are up to. If we are promoting losing your inhibitions that “no body know u, no body gives a shit” it can’t be “no body know u here, but someone on the internet might know u and give a shit”. I think it’s up to the TTR vets, security to do a better job policing it and asking people to just keep thier phones and cameras in thier rooms.

 

we used to use the Stairs at Patios,, they have that big apple now Ive seen in photo,s . I take at least 200 to 500 pics when I go there, not to mention video,s , , I have never been asked not to . Just be respectful and photo shop people/boobs/dicks out when necessary .

 

I/we are all for the no camera policy, cameras create inhabitions. If you need to snap a pic of your sexy outfit it can always be done in your room.

 

I was in Bash last month and using my Sound hound to try and find the artist of a song and security came over and told me to put it away...Seen another couple at Bash ask someone to take a picture for them in costume and once again security came over and stopped it.

 

We've actually had friends and family say..."We never see any pics of your vacation." hahaha
I agree in this day and age, not taking vaca pics is highly unusual. We usually just blow it off by saying..."we've been so may times, and taken so many pics already...."

 

Okay, just playing Devil's Advocate because you're totally right you could just take pics in your room and leave the camera there--but would you ever go on vacation anywhere else and come back with only pics of yourself in your hotel room? (I can see it now: We went to New York City! Here we are in our hotel!???)

Maybe I've set myself up by posting a lot on social media, but my friends would be suspicious if I "went dark" for vacation.

For fun one year, though, I borrowed my mother-in-law's frumpy 1980s bathing suit, grabbed the Bible (in Espanol!) out of our room, and staged photos of myself being quite pious on vacation (nobody bought that, either! )

 

We always walk down to the resort next door and take a few pics, but we also noticed this October that the quiet pool in the morning is pretty much empty and u can take pics there looks like every other resort in Mexico.
