Due to this site.... on our recent trip, we met many people prior to our stay. While I do most of the chatting (anyone that knows me knows that....), Angus remembered all the profile pictures.... During our entire stay, he kept saying - you've spoken to that person on Cancuncare.... go say hello! I kept saying, no, I can't do that! And he made me! Thankfully!!!! We ended up having the best time that we have ever had at TTR! Met lots of people that hopefully we will meet again, met lots of people that we will stay in contact throughout the year.... Many of them were Newbies.... I would advise any Newbie to reach out and message people going at the same time - this place is different from anything you have ever experienced - welcoming to all, no matter whether you like to just socialise or more.... On the flight out, after a two year break, I kept thinking.... is Temptation that great, or is my memory 'rose' tinted? The answer, no, hell no! It was better than I remembered!!! Thank you Cancuncare, Steve & Jannet, and of course, all the wonderful new people we met, for making for third visit, the best ever!
I agree it is a nice way to met people. After all we met you. also the rose coloured glasses are just fine LOL

It was pretty amazing! Dave and I had a blast and it was great meeting everyone we talked with before. Can't wait to catch up next year!
This site is my vacation all year until I arrive at TTR. Cant go a day without checking at least once. This site has great info and the people are amazing
we got reacquainted with Temptation 3 years ago and it sucked not going there last year because of the remodel. We went on a Norwegian 5 day "booze cruise" to the Bahamas which was pretty fun. But when I asked Kathy a few weeks ago if she wanted to cruise again of go to Temptation, there wasn't 1 second of hesitation. People who've never been to TTR can't understand the grip the place holds on you after you've been there. There's simply no place like it we've ever seen. Think about it, what other resorts even have a forum like this? We've been to 5 other resorts in QR, and Desire comes close but the others are just hotels with palm trees.
Any of our more open minded friends, know we go to the same hotel each time.... (but not which one....) They are in two categories, the ones that presume we go for extra-curricular activities, and the ones that can't actually believe that there is a hotel like we describe!!! Lol.... We have two or three friends, that are open minded, but workaholics like us! Don't tend to make time for holidays.... my aim is to finally persuade them to go, one day and, I truly believe, once they go once, they would be an addict too!
Frost and rain unfortunately! We very rarely get snow where we live... much to our kid's disgust! In fact, our eldest is thirteen and has never had the chance to go sleighing! Ps.... Remember Steve, what happens on the Boobs Cruise, stays on the Boobs Cruise! Lol....
I've noticed that as I peruse CCC, which sort of goes up and down in frequency... up as a trip to TTR/DRM/DP is approaching, so that I'm probably checking the site up to 4x/day in the week before we go... and it falls off with pleased exhaustion when we get home... I run across posts of friends we've met... sometimes on the immediately past trip, sometimes from trips from years ago. Each time, brings back memories, sometimes memories I'd actually totally forgotten in some sort of boozy haze. Then, Bam! An image of someone doing their first Mexican Luge shot, or motorboating, or carrying a huge stack of Wet Pussy shots from the bar, or posing in their WDSN attire, whatever. All good and definitely all awesome indeed!
I am the same! I check posts repeatedly daily, once we have booked! However, rarely inbetween, as it just makes me depressed that I don't have another break booked!!! I view Temptation as future therapy.... one day when my mind has gone, in some nursing home.... the staff will see me smile or laugh out loud.... And they will wonder, what is that poor soul thinking of? They could never guess that snapshots of TTR, over the years, was running through my mind!!!!
