Anyone stay in one of the old rooms yet?

To preface, I don't give a crap about a room as long as it has a/c, hot water, comfy bed, and is dark at night with the blinds closed. We don't come to TTR for the room but I totally get that others might care more than I do. I need it only to sleep, shower, and screw and not necessarily in that order. We stayed in 1126, one of the old rooms. Last year we stayed in 1130something so in the building just across from where we were this year.

The room was fine - it had a/c that worked, hot water when there was enough hot water (for instance, at 4 am trying to wash paint off it never really got hot which totally ruined the "help remove my paint" party , but getting ready to go out each night to dinner it was hot enough), and the bed was comfy. Actually I love the bed and pillows. No sewage smell. However, blinds do not totally lower all the way and as reported, you cannot turn off the porch light. We used towels to block the 2 inches of light coming in. Also, lights in the new funky looking wall unit should go off when the doors are closed to each part of the unit, but ours did not. We had to have maintenance come at 2 am our first night because I'm a vampire and cannot fucking deal with light on in the room. He was there within 5 minutes of our calling and said it was an issue in some rooms, but he was able to fix it pretty quickly. So, no big deal.

Biggest issue for my partner was that the toilet is right next to the shower in the same room. He likes a separate "toilet" area. Newer rooms in the tower have a door to the toilet area apart from the shower/sink. I told him we don't have a separate toilet area at home either so who cares?!? LOL, I guess privacy while pooping on vacation is important to him. To each their own!

 

We were there over Halloween. "Old" rooms are better than before. Much better IMO.

 

Our Quiet Pool Jacuzzi room was right next to the bathrooms you use for the Sexy Pool. It was pretty much like having two bathrooms in our room ,they were so close. Recommend that room for sure.

 

We just got back in October and stayed in the new garden room over looking bash. Loud. Nice include though. Question?? We booked jacuzzi plush room for June. Are the hot tubs on the patio or inside ?? I think I underground's most inside now and if so where in the room. Does it crowd you if inside
