Does anyone know where in the hotel the Trendy ocean view rooms are located and are they worth the extra ?
The one we had in October was the ones right in front of the sexy pool. where the fun holes are. It was perfect on the ground floor. Not as much of a view especially with the ramp to Bash, but made for quick pitstops to the room during the day very easy. The rooms right behind would be just as good IMO but I would pay a little more for the same room if I had the option vs the ones facing the street. However it was loud at night, so if you want to sleep before 2 am and you're not good with noise, then it would be tough. The old quiet side pool rooms, not sure if they go by the same name or not.
All the upper level rooms that face the quiet pool are Trendy ocean too. I could barely hear the music on the far side. I've never stayed in garden to compare. My feeling is unless you want the balcony jacuzzi or a giant room to host in, stay cheap and stay longer. There's not always much of a view. Even when it was nice, I've never spent more than a minute on the balcony for the view. When traveling as a couple, I'd always try for the jacuzzi rooms. We sometimes didn't use it much and sometimes we did a lot.
