Seeing lots of posts about room types lately. Figured I would bump this thread up to help some people get a better understanding of the new room types. If we packed this thread with lots of good info, it might be a good repository to point people to in the future, and maybe 80% of their questions will be answered.
Any updates when sky bar will be open? I saw someone post that it was "supposed" to open in two weeks and this weekend will be two weeks. I'm surprised it wasn't open for the "official opening".
Hey Jen&Kyle, your trip reports have been super helpful, so thanks for that...I had a question re: the Master Suites...we have booked the Master Suites for Dec 3-10 and wanted to understand the transfer from the airport...do all Master Suites include that private transfer or is this something that has to be pre-arranged separately? Any info will be helpful...thanks again!
Sorry both times we stayed in the master we upgraded on site so not sure on the transfer question. We took USA Transfers. The resort did send us an email for a more expensive option but we of course declined. That was before they or we knew we would be in a master
Well, I can say from being in Bash tower room, we saw a lot of balcony shows. Plus on 2nd floor the area above Bash is supposed to become a Tiki bar. Not sure I'd want to be on second floor then. I must say, the new sliding doors and blind do help drown the noise but some weather striping on the doors would help with hallway noise. In a pinch 2 towels work very well with a firm hit from the booty to close and lock door. LOL
I thought the tower rooms were very nice, but not worth the price. I don't want to turn this thread in a negative direction, but I saw something that concerned me. Did anyone else notice the construction of the "wave" railing? It was two sheets of plywood sandwiched over 2x4s an then cut with a Sawzall and painted white! From the ground it looks like concrete, but it's not! I was a bit shocked at that. Sam
Sam, Are you talking about this railing outside on the balcony? It's in a wave pattern when you look at the building from the outside, so maybe it is what you are talking about. Or I could be way off, haha. But it looks like there is the glass panel, so I would imagine whatever they are anchored to is mounted to concrete.
That's it. Look closely...its plywood! The glass is mounted to it and there's a half inch gap between them. I was wondering how they cleaned between them and in the process, knocked on it and then realized what it was.
