We’ve heard a lot about the tower rooms but are wondering about the condition and features of the renovated rooms in the “old” section. Have they been upgraded significantly? Shortcomings? Thanks!
We did in Oct. They were nice. completely renovated. Couldn't figure out the coffee maker til the last day though.
The a/c worked well. Completely redecorated by Austin Powers but somewhat less functional, yet still very fuctional. (Is that a word?)
Old rooms have all the features of the new rooms. Found the built-in units actually provided more storage area than the old rooms had. For example they had three deep drawers for your stuff. But you have to use it all. Like I put my shorts and jeans on the same shelf with the safe. Same shade across the balcony doors.. which if you haven't heard raises when you enter the room unless you turn off all the lights except the under bid lights. then when you come in it doesn't go up. Only exception is when they send you a message on your TV, then everything is out the window. Jamie
That sounds as though you are describing the electrical system on an older British Leyland car! (Sam)
Yes in October we stayed in one. They look like new. Same decor. I actually opted to stay in jacuzzi room by quiet pool this time instead of tower. Partly because I'd sound and little more quiet once we pass out lol
I really liked the old room as far as location and functionality. Wasn't perfect but for the limited time we spent in it...it did its job.
We looked at/stayed in three rooms in the older sections and they were good. We visited friends in the older section right next to the spa/lobby and they did in fact have the unfortunate sewer smell in their bathroom. That this issue has reemerged so quickly in some locations is very disappointing.
