I am not a procrastinator by nature but I feel like I have been for theme nights and now I am panicking! We are newbies so I blame my uncertainty on what to wear... At least that's my story and I'm sticking to it I need help from all you wonderful people! Mostly in regards to what I should buy for my boyfriend. Do men dress up nicer? Boxers? Shorts? Even more riske? Where has everyone had the most luck finding these items? Mexican - dress in Mexican flag colours? Heaven or Hell - has to be a devil's costume in some form or other... lingerie - my hubby had black mesh boxers with a black leather waistcoat. Probably will again this year... Decades, have no idea! For white, he just dresses with a nice white shirt... Glow - he has a neon tie and braces to go with normal wear. Uniform .... to be disclosed! lol.... but his job related! lol... I participate properly, he does sometimes, depending on the theme, to a lesser extent on others and not at all if the theme doesn't suit! All of the above options are suitable for either men or women, but of course, the more that participate properly... the better it is! Just remember, many people, coming for their first time, have no idea of the themes or anything else, so are not prepared, even if they would have been if they knew! Your boyfriend can always were 'normal' wear for the theme nights and not look out of place! PS... He won't be admitted to the lingerie show without being dressed though...
This was my “bed time bash” outfit: For white night, see our current profile pic. We were dressed like that for dinner. The missus may have changed into something a little more “comfortable”. This was what we both wore for glow night: Shirts changed colors every few seconds.
I feel like it's so much easier to participate being a woman. Hopefully for our second trip (I feel like it's going to happen lol), I'll have a better idea of what to buy him Thanks so much for some of the ideas... esp the tid bit about the lingerie night as that's his 40th birthday so kind of a big deal

Definitely!!! I really struggle with some of Angus's outfits! Between knowing what he would be willing to wear and fitting with the theme!!! I really nailed it for leather night last time! He is Scottish, so I bought a leather kilt, pouch and the waistcoat for fetish/leather night... He got dragged up to join in for the entertainment! I will never forget that leather kilt spinning around the round as he had to throw it off!!! Lol.... He swore he would never forgive me!!! Lol... Will be packing it again for leather/fetish night this year! The great thing about men's outfits, you can recycle.... I think, if you find one that suits them, fits the theme, they are happy with = re-use! Us girl's need a new one regardless! lol...
I agree with you, I think also men (in general) are more skeptical/worried about "being too much," "not fitting in," "standing out" etc which makes it even harder to figure out. Us ladies want to stand out ha ha! I love love love the story about the leather kilt!
You're my favorite haha! I think I have everything slightly organized now.. worst case for some nights we'll just go with the accessories to play off of the themes. Are you there during out timeline (Nov 18-27th?)
