Would some of you TTR veterans do us newbies a favor and give us your best advice for keeping the dreaded "Membership sales pitch" short and painless? We've got just five night there and thus would like to make the most of every minute. How quickly after arriving from the airport does this sales pitch begin, and what's the fastest way to get to the end of it and head out to the pool or off to our room? Thanks so much.
When they approach you raise your pointer finger wave it side to side and politely say not and keep on walking that is what I do. It is a little direct but straight to the point.
From previous visit they don't actually do the sale pitch now, they want to schedule a breakfast with you after a few days and then do their sales pitch. We just tell them no thank you, if they ask why, we just say not interested. They are there to do their job, no need to be rude with them. Usually a no thank you, will be enough and they will let you alone. If they don't understand after that we just ignoring him and by 2-3 minutes he leave us alone. First year we made the mistake to talk with them and start the pitch sale, so we had to unplug the phone since they were no stop calling. The resort isn't big and anyone will be happy to give you direction if you need too. If ( and only if ) they still bother you schedule them the last morning ( if you leave early ), or tell them you are just here to check out the new concept. Enjoy and havefun !
They are defiantly more pushy with the new resort. We had to decline several times, not just once. When we would walk into the lobby area days after check-in and they would see white bracelets they would come running. We had one to follow us into the gift shop. We tried our best to be nice, but we finally ignored them to the point where we would not even acknowledge when spoken too. Good luck.
Well, you decide to go on a referral, you got discounted price but you need to attend the presentation. The premier member offer you a vacation at a discounted price.. The way to return the favor is to attend the presentation and they get that credit. ( make sure to take a picture of what you sign at the end ). Tell them you want to go breakfast BUT don't need any tour, or any premier tour. The presentation is only about 90 minutes if you don't talk and let him speak. It's the price to pay when using a referral and premier perk.
Just say: « Désolé je ne parle que français » (sorry I just speak french) It worked for me every time
We said no thanks !! They followed us the old TTR and rude but this time t the new one we sis no thanks and they were professional
