You said it best !! We love the old TTR and we love the new TTR we think they did an awesome great job. To me the positivity outweighs the negativity by millions. I'm sure Minor Adjustments still have to be made but in my eyes I prefer to be positive thank you TTR for making Temptations Paradise on Earth

 

And thank Scuba Steve for posting it here and Jamie for making it we appreciate it and thanks for all the positivity

 

I do see what you are saying about closing it because of non-guests.

But to look on the bright side, I feel like I would have actually liked to party at the quiet pool a day or two when it was packed just for something a bit different then ever had at past trips, and ever would moving forward.

Lots more people can't now say the "I never dipped my toe in the quiet pool" line, hahahahaha. Hey to be honest, I have even been in there many times on all my trips (mostly for some recovery). And this past trip we had two afternoons over there with another couple that were really enjoyable as well.

 

Have never been shy to admit we spend 1/2 a day at the Quiet Pool some trips just to re-charge.
it is a perfect spot to get a second wind, and to remind yourself of all the other boring resorts that are out there.
Sorta like a Self affirmation or refelecting pool: "suck it up Marshe, and get back to the party at the Sexy Pool"
Always works and we are good for the rest of the trip

 

I remember our first trip, that first day we went to the quiet pool just to get a feel for things, then the sexy pool every single time after that. I like that the bar at the quiet pool is open late, a nice place to gather.

I'm having boob withdrawal...getting my fix on Sat and with the HnH group.

 

As several have said...it was what it was... and it is what it is!
If you don't like it, don't visit.
Simple as that.

We all know and some of us have already experienced to renovation pains with soft opening leading to the grand opening.
Eventually all will be well.

Don't need any complainers screwing up the vibe.

I am tired of the complainers that complain about the complainers that complained too much about the people complaining about the complainers.

Yes I am tired of myself. And can’t freaking wait until returning in 3 weeks to do shots with those complainers until they stop complaining about the guy that is complaining too much. As they in reality are a lot of fun. Especially when naked

 

Not that I am complaing but quit complaining, you complaining complainer, and get on with it.

We are only on the November FB page, so we are not seeing all these complaining complainers everyone is complaining about , but it seems like one very pertinent point was missed. The Grand Opening was not meant for TTR loyals... it was an elegant gala designed to generate buzz among the people and companies that funnel business to the resort. To put it plainly, it was a play not a party. Anyone who chose to go for the Grand Opening with expectations of a "TTR of old" style party would have obviously been disappointed at seeing the theatrical production that was put on, but who goes to Phantom of the Opera expecting a NYC-style rooftop party on NYE?!

Whatever sentiments were expressed about how the Grand Opening party was not the same TTR party that loyals were expecting should be taken with a grain of salt... the party was not the problem; the expectations were the problem. If the people writing these negative reviews would have been expecting a presidential fundraising dinner instead, their reviews would have been vastly different because the Grand Opening would have exceeded their expectations.

With 3 weeks to go, we are looking forward to nicer digs for our "TTR of old" party. And if that doesn't happen, it's obviously because we didn't make it happen. Carpe boobies, people! Carpe boobies!
