I watched a fare amount of Facebook live videos last night. A video doesn’t translate everything I suppose, but my take from what I saw was rather, meh. Lots of people, but everyone was just watching the show. It kind of reminded me of Disney World type of production. Nothing wrong with that, and maybe what they were going for, but certainly not a wild party. I imagine parties in different locals could have influence on the atmosphere.
I do kind of wonder about all of the videos and pictures being broadcast. The old saying, "Nobody knows you... yada, yada, yada" kind of loses it meaning a little bit if you're plastered all over the internet.
You have to kind of think that the opening of a party is definitely going to be different than a closing, or even the end of a party. And it's probably best to not pass judgement. Think even we look good getting on the boobs cruises, and those early videos Jannet takes, and no one wants to record what we look like coming off Even when I throw large parties at home there is a big difference in the people that come day style to eat and socialize (weak sauce that goes home before it's late), then the crew that comes later (and parties hard), then there is the real late night crew (and we don't even want to talk about them). As the party goes on, people are going to start more and more disheveled and you're going to see less and less pictures of the shenanigans. I just wouldn't judge a book by it's cover, and you know after the "show type" stuff ended, it probably heated up.
One other think I did notice is there appears to be some type of glass or reflective surface on the stage now. I would imagine that would make it even more slick to dance on. I was hoping they put a bit of a rail around it so you don't dance right off the side.
I certainly didn’t mean to judge, just throwing out my observation. I thought someone said that new flooring was supposed to be less slippery?
When I was there in mid September I chatted about a lot of things with the manager and the stage in Bash was on the list. He told me he had plans to make it fancier, I was under the impression that they would also be adding a railing. I hope that is still in the works. As far as the new surface being slicker - I have surprisingly not seen a single comment here or on Facebook about the new surface. I too am curious to know if the new surface makes it more of an adventure to dance on it. Perhaps someone who was there when they made the change could comment?
We have been dancing on it every night and I hadn't noticed until last night but it was very slick last night. Still a blast to dance on though! And all the lights on the stage/dance floor change colors which is cool. I don't know if they have always done that.
I wasn't saying anyone was judging, just stating some thoughts in relation from an opening party verse a closing "let blow the balls off this mofo" party. Some of the tones and comments on Facebook are a little more harsh (but what else did you expect on FB). I saw someone say that too with the flooring, but not sure how that is even possible. With something that looks slick and reflective.
Whenever I see a new substance like that, I always just assume it’s a new “space age polymer”, and has gone thru NASA type testing.
