Would like to know if they have a couples sensual massage, also what do they offer for a single? An idea of cost? Thank you!
We have a couples relaxation massage booked for tomorrow afternoon. We will get back to you on the prices.
They do have the couples massage - I believe it is now $395 (less the 20 or 25% discount (can't remember which it is), if you are a member or are there with a referral). I was there as a single and really planned on checking out the single massages. Somehow, never got to it. I blame the playmaker girls for that -
Javier the original Ents Manager left after two weeks apparently. Not sure why. JJ has been given his job, not a big fan of JJ myself and also hope he doesn't go 'old school'.
I bumped into Nicolas (the hotel GM) on Friday night in Bash - I had no idea who he was - in fact I started the conversation with him by asking if he was a De La Pena (since the family was there for Mexican Independence Day). When he told me who he was, I said "I would love to have a chat with you" and he agreed to meet with me on Saturday which he did. When we meet, I told him that for my money the new Playmakers were one of the best changes that they had made. I did tell him that I thought they still needed lots of work on the contests/pool games, but other than that I hoped they would not change a thing about how great those kids are (detailed posts coming on my chat with Nicolas and my 2 cents about the playmakers). While I told him a agreed that JJ could help on the contests/games front, that he needed to make sure that things did not slip all the way back to how they did things pre-reno. He told me he knew that and that he could "put the brakes on JJ". He seemed to get it. Time will tell. I told Nicolas that if he had not already done so, he needed to read Kyle's (Of Jen & Kyle) post on the difference between the old way and the new way of doing things entertainment wise. I thought Kyle hit the nail on the head. That post can be found at Jen and Kyle live from TTR!. It is the 3rd post on page 23.
Known Nicolas a long time, he used to be GM at Blue Bay Village/Sea Adventure/Al Ritmo the kids resort. I first met him there after Hurricane Wilma in 2005 when I went there to take pics of their recovery. He was the GM at the old Temptation for maybe the last 4 years before the renos, was glad they kept him on. He's certainly an approachable guy and keen to listen to feedback. Would agree with you about the playmakers, they are doing a fine job and I hope that things don't move more old school with JJ's arrival.
I've only been here once, but I would agree, JJ, must be an aquired taste, but we didn't find him that engaging or entertaining.
Hello, thanks for doing this. Is there any impact on TTR from either the earthquake or the hurricane? I don't mean physical impact but presumably many of the staff are from Mexico city with family there. Any talk of it around the place? Does anyone mention any possible risk of aftershocks or even hurricane Maria taking a turn in that direction? It's big news over here, and a slight concern, thanks.
There's no physical impact from either, both are too far away. We seem to be dodging bullets all over the place. October is a bigger risk for hurricanes as they often tend to not turn northwards as soon as they do in September. At least with hurricanes you get plenty of notice that one is on its way, unlike earthquakes. Regarding the earthquake, there are a lot of people in Cancun either from or who have relatives in Mexico City so there is a lot of concern on personal levels. Also lots of local collections of food and water going on, and rescue teams being flow there.
