We are staying at Desire Pearl from the 19th until the 24th of October. Does anyone know if you can get a day pass for Desire RM? Is it free for people staying at Pearl?

No, not free - $150 per couple for a day or night pass if you are already staying at one of the properties and wish to try the other for a visit.
If your willing to sit thru the sales presentation (90min to .....min) , you can negotiate a one time free pass for your time

My apologies, I was assuming you were Premier.

    Precisely.

Premier Members can go for the day to the "other" Desire location at no charge.

However, as we found out this last trip (as our friends were over at DRM when we were at Pearl), it would have cost them, as non-members, $150 to come over for the day. So, we went to them!

John - FYI - when Pearl opened and for two years afterward, there was no charge for anyone staying at one of the Desire properties to visit the other for a day or night - then Premier came up with the idea of another Premier benefit(ie free cross property visits for only members) and thus that free visit privileged was removed for all non Premier Desire people.

I could go on and on with things that where standard for anyone that booked at Desire and slowly Premier has taken them away to be exclusive to be a free benefit for Premier members only.

Rant over, but some insight to why the majority of the multiple visit, long term, non Premier Desire vacationers have a very dim view of Premier (not the members, just the Premier office and it's policies)

Thnx everybody for the replies. Not sure what the correct answer is but the mayority seem to state that if it's free it would only be for Premier guests, which we are not. But we will have a blast anyway. Less than 7 weeks

Yes, I can totally see them doing that, and I understand why they did it.

People, i.e. us, don't have to like it, but it IS their property, to run it the way they want to run it. They do sort of have a stranglehold on this particular sub-genre of the travel market, so why not be capitalistic and wrest all the cash possible out of the business? Sure, people an say, "Well, we just won't go," but in the end how many just refuse to go back to their favorite place in the world (regardless of flavor, TTR, DP or DRM), just because a slight previous benefit is now... gone? I'm sure there are a few, but most people just grumble a bit and go ahead and book their next vacay.
