We already have that. Spring, TTR-Cancun. Summer, Desire Riviera Maya. Fall-Winter, Desire Pearl. Handled. For us, probably going to be the same outcome as our consideration of going on the Desire Cruise(s). To get there is more of a pain than the simple Southwest less than 2-hour nonstop into Cancun from Houston... As compared to having to fly a 3-leg trip with at least one, possibly 2 equipment changes (meaning changing planes) to get into Italy to go on the cruise. So, we decided to skip it though I'm sure the experience would be fun. Same thing here for the TTR-DR. I've a TTR to which I can get up at 7:00 a.m., get tot he airport, on the plane by 9:30, and be at the swim-up bar, checked-in with Stacia naked or nearly so, by 12:30. Y'all go and tell us stories about it, that'll work. TTR-Cancun has Steve's Boobs Cruise, the Temptation Yacht,a nd the Cancun Party Zone, complete with Senor Frog's and Carlos & Charlie's. Oh, and Dragon Mart. Don't forget about Dragon Mart.
That's interesting, always nice to have options--but I imagine we would just stick with the original.
I get the part of the flight changes but here in South Florida we have plenty of direct flights to the DR so that part is a non issue. The part that would worry me is getting the party started and then keeping it going. If they are looking at coming to the US PLEASE MAKE IT FLORIDA. lol Although I wonder how it would work with an all inclusive here in the states. I don't think there are in at this point.
I don't think there any true all inclusive spots in the US. Generally, its an added fee on top of the normal charge and even then, alcohol is not included. I wonder if they actually made a place in the US if it would(or could) stay in line with the all inclusive style you find in the Caribbean.
A few years ago we went to Blue Bay (no relation) in Puerto Plata and had a great time. A small all inclusive, Topless fun, a sweet pathway through awesome scenery to the white sand beaches and all night resort bar. Lots of Brits, Europeans. We were the only Americans I think. Like Americans don't know or something? A European secret Hide a way? What a great time. We still have British friends we made there! Hi Mia! Then we went to this other place last year in Punta Cana I won't say the name, it was so big you needed to get around on golf carts and shuttles. There were so many people it was hard to re meet the new friends you had made. I wasn't a fan of this other place. I mean it was super nice and posh, Some places are just too big. We highly recommend Blue Bay. Look it up on your googly.. I don't know a lot about off the resort. There are tons of sight seeing and adventure tours. One time in Puerto Plata, we left with a group to go gambling. I saw armed security guys all over the place. Just like in Mexico City. One time we wandered down the beach, off property, to look at condos being built. Two armed guys came out of the jungle and said FAR ENOUGH. So we complied. They weren't bad guys, they were for protection. Never the less I went back by later by my myself to check out the condos and they were super nice and really affordable. We are still considering the possibility. I believe DR is at Least as Nice as Cancun. I can't say enough good about Puerto Plata Its not as beautiful as Punta Cana but its much more country and cozy. We look forward to our next visit and am going to look into visiting 2019 to stay at the new Temptation! I hope you liked this post. I don't like the changed format and this is one of the only times I posted. Mostly, I just lurk and enjoy others comments.
Ok a short search of All inclusive in the US, Club med, It looks like they are drinks included. So it can be done and florida would be amazing since we have a year around great weather and beaches. So I vote they open here maybe on the south west coast or the middle keys.
"As of now we have two Desires resorts (Riviera Maya and Pearl) and another called Temptation that is currently under construction. We are working on the expansion of the resort collection and we plan to open two more resorts, one under each name and concept. We also are looking to develop more resorts in the Caribbean islands and Miami." I found a transcript of an interview with Cruz of Original Group that mentions Miami specifically.
