I'm starting to panic a little, and I know it's totally selfish of me, but dammit this fucking hurricane is likely to fuck up our flight out on Monday we have a connecting flight out of Houston....direct flights are $800 more and there aren't any we can make it to by the time we drop the kids at school. Need a miracle of epic proportions!
Here'so hoping for you as well as all the people in the path. Hopefully, it will turn out to be much less than everyone fears.
Quite a few airlines are already offering free rerouting for flights this weekend. Once the storm actually hits, it's a pretty safe bet they'll extend that through at least the early part of next week.
I'm going to wait and see what happens. We're just flying from OKC, best case scenario they make it a nonstop flight vs stopping in Houston.
Not with this storm, they are predicting it to stall over land and be in the area for several days with rain falls in the 35+ inch range before moving off shore and then regaining strength and then heading towards Louisiana. Our thoughts and prayers are with all who live in these areas that will be affected. T
The last map I saw it looks like it will actually make two landfalls one tonight south of Houston and then in Sunday or Monday was Houston. It is going to get nasty.
Opted to get travel funds with SW because we have a cruise in Oct out of FL anyways. Booked a direct flight with AA. I was not about to miss the party lol!
