Yes we do...thinning is an issue and me having white hair makes it a problem, lol. Hence my Tilley hat at TTR...beside it also covers the Black Crown Royal bag quite nicely when security is around
I was going to answer this in my trip report but as I was looking thru some notes in prep I came across a list of theme party notes I took while hanging out with the theme night director late one night. I am curious if those there the last week have first hand experiences with these and whether he has actually implemented this or are ideas he is in the process of implementing. Those returning please feel free to share those experiences. Theme nights. Opening night was a special party with the GM doing a lot of speaking and hype, etc. Obviously different than typical nights. I think some saw this on Facebook live as I know Steve was broadcasting among others. But a lot of spraying of champagne and a choreographed devil and angels dance which I am guessing is what will be part of typical Tuesdays. I would say maybe 1/3 rd of the people were dressed in Devils and Angels. It was a fun night. Wednesday night is lingerie night. More like 1/2 to 2/3 rds of the people were in lingerie. The show was VERY sexy. The entertainment crew was included and damn it they are a sexy bunch and walked around in their lingerie flirting and sexy dancing all night, squirting shots in everyones mouths. Lingerie wasn't required for attendance like the old nice shoes. And there wasn't a guest contest / participation aspect like the old TTR but it was still a lot of fun. Sorry, no lingerie for jen yet in this image on the way back from dinner. We left in the morning so didn't experience anything from here forward first hand but this is what I was told the plan is. Thursday - Throw Back Thursday.. Foam party in the pool on Thursday afternoon. Thursday night sexy dances thru the ages with dances and outfits representing each of the decades. Friday - Sexy cirque Friday. He was going to try to create a cirque like acrobat show. Saturday - Lots of neon and glow including some special glow powder that they will shoot, throw, whatever out over Bash creating a cool neon glow effect Sunday - the most concerning and talked about theme on here. PJ night. But he said you are just supposed to start in PJs. And then the sexiness comes in with the disrobing. So the dancers would come out in PJs and then do a strip tease down to very little. Lingerie'ish. He hopes the crowd will start in PJs and disrobe acknowledging it is too hot to stay in PJs. That is part of the fun. Monday - very curious if he got this in place in time for this Monday. But was planning an Aztec fire show for mexican theme night. Was going to have the Aztec dancers arrive by water with their boat and costumes shooting out flames. All of Bash looking over the edge at the water amazed as the fire dancers emerge from the water, walk up the ramp and do a show on the Bash stage. So very curious if this has been implemented and happened over the last few days. Any recent returnees able to validate or deny? Like I said this guy is so excited and has so many fun ideas it totally convinced me they are staying with the crazy fun party scene. None of this reads stuck up or pull back the party. And our experiences were all about party like rock stars.
Very curious to hear about this as well...with everything you answered in your amazing reports during your time there, this is the one big question I'm sure most of us that haven't yet been to the new TTR have...how are theme nights? How strict are they as to what you can and can't wear? I know most groups going are planning their own twists on theme nights or their own different themes altogether...curious as to what they will allow...looking forward to hearing responses to this one from those that have been.
There really were no restrictions when we were there. But like I said before I wonder if they were being very lenient due to the facility issues. Curious if others have been told to put their top back on or cover up in any way. It wasn't happening the first two nights, hooray.
thank you for the response.... you guys are amazing for this during your VK. how is the crowd? we have been to hedo and loved that everyone talked and mingled VS typical trips where everyone thinks they are better than others ETC....do ppl start conversations and tend to party together? also, are there any room crawls and do ppl try to organize a "play" date in their rooms? if so, how do we find out?
Possible odd wifi question... Was the wifi largely isolated to the rooms/lobby? Or does it reach other areas, such as the pool? Trying to determine if it may be useful getting one of our cell phones activated for mobile data in Mexico, or if that won't really be necessary. Also helps figure out if I need to load up all the music on the phone or if something like pandora/spotify would be usable. Thanks!
Wifi worked great for us in our room, at the pool and at the restaurants. A couple times it seemed to stop working. But this was only maybe 2-4 times in 3 days and the stoppage was for 5-10mins. So I was pleasantly surprised. Of course remember this is with the resort 25-50% occupied so bandwidth may be different once we are at 100% occupancy
We just booked our second trip to the NEW TTR November 2-5 for my birthday. Can you tell we enjoyed our trip?
