One thing I have learned about TTR is there is never a standard price. I have always been able to find a discount somewhere. Try alpharooms. Try the resort website and sign up for their email list. Try cheaptickets.com. Try Orbitz. Try Expedia. Try kayak which references a lot of different discount sites. This trip we booked a long time ago and used my favorite cheaptickets which is actually owned by Orbitz. It is their discount site. I booked a lush suite for lower $300something a night using a discount they had already entered and a discount code the website emailed me as a result of signing up for emails. Then when we arrived none of the lush rooms were done so they upgraded us to what I think was the only done Master Suite for free. The room was originally online for $700+ a night. I looked for a return trip in October or November and the prices are much higher but I have not done an extensive search yet. I assume since then it is no longer the soft opening period and we are closer to the dates and not as much of an advance booking. Good luck. Point is shop around.
I think that is an important thing to realize that should put people at ease. The vibe hasn't changed all that much. Nothing drastic. Everyone should take a big sigh of relief. Some will be very happy with the changes. Some will not be happy with ANY changes. We respect both opinions.
People have always used camera's in and around the sexy pool and certainly at different places around the resort. I don't see an issue with it as long people are taking pictures of themselves/people that agree to be in pics with them. There's a big difference between someone taking a selfie in front of the bar with some people they met vs standing outside the sexy pool taking pics. The latter is what security should be on top of.
Oh oh here we go again , a great thread degenerating into a bitchfest about pricing , cameras around the pool ....wait for it its coming .....people hoarding loungers around the pool and people peeing in said pool !!!!!! Can we please resume normal programming about what an awesome job J&K did of there own free will on there vacation time to give us an insight into the new TTR ??
