I wish you would not view members vs non-members in that manner. We all make choices about how to spend our money and everyone is entitled to their choices. Sometimes, we spend money on items that give us access to goods and services that others elect to forgo. For example, I can go to a baseball game and buy a ticket for the upper deck. Or, I can buy season tickets or more expensive single games tickets. Those higher priced tickets often come with more privileges - better seats, perhaps access to better restaurants or seat side waiter service. In the end, we are all fans and root for whatever team we want. Its just that some people decide to allocate their money in different ways.

At TTR, I don't pick and choose who I talk to because they ae a member or not a member. As a member, I am happy to share my privileges with non members - you are welcome to come sit with me in the "member area" of the old Paty-Os for example (Not sure if Bash has a members only area). Or, if we dine together and I am not ordering a "premier" item, I would be glad to have you order one instead. And I would be happy to "buy" you a premium liquor drink at any of the bars. If I get a group together to rent the yacht, your welcome to join me.

I made a choice to spend my money on a membership and for that choice I get some privileges. I don't think that makes me an "us" and you a "them" - I just allocated my money differently than you. And I realize that not everyone has the money to make that choice - I feel blessed that I do. I am not any better than you - just different. We are all at TTR to have fun - and it doesn't matter one iota to me if your a member or not.

Here is the thing. Day 1 the resort was 25% occupied. Day 2 40%. Day 3 a little more and then we departed. They were preparing for 90% tonight, Saturday.

The people there Day 1 and 2 were very determined to set a tone. So we and others volunteered for what we could. More than half the people there Day 1 were in the games ha.

I do believe the shy ones saw it wasn't that bad and started getting more involved. When the resort is full it would be easier to hide but also could have a reverse effect that no one participates because there are sooo many people watching. then the entertainment staff may be forced to pressure people to participate. The staff themselves said they are learning as they go and how the crowd reacts will dictate how things go in the future. Definitely a very fluid situation. The director seems to have a lot of creative freedom though and I think that is a good thing. His name isn't Justin. Really great guy.

In my trip report I will detail the games.

Funny how that works. I assume you mean there have been a lot of people complaining and arguing on Facebook? I am not in there. I think I have been very positive and we both loved our trip and can't wait to go back despite the expected soft opening issues. We really embraced what TTR is now and didn't sweat the small stuff. As soon as someone started complaining we smiled, nodded and did a shot :) We did do a lot of shots

I understand your viewpoint. Mine (as a Brit) is different. Our cost for a holiday at TTR has now doubled (at least), and even if I upgrade to, say a Bash Tower room (total holiday cost for 2 weeks an astonishing £6050! $7756) I can walk into a restaurant and be denied certain items off a menu? I think not!

Also, we have many Premier friends both American & Canadian, and you, in reality, cannot 'buy' us a Premier drink, or item off the menu, we have tried, believe me, and the staff will have none of it!

It's not about whether we can afford it or not, it's about how we choose to spend our money (there are plenty of other places for us to enjoy - we are fortunate to enjoy at least 6 weeks vacation per year) so I prefer to choose somewhere where I won't be segregated, for whatever reason.

How are the prices for you guys? Sounds like separate price depending on room type,we in England have only one choice as a package, don't know what room but it's now twice as expensive as before,so completely out of my price range.

Look forward to hearing about it. Glad to hear though that its still a great time, its our favorite vacation spot and we did worry a little over the last year what the remodel might mean for the tone and the crowd. We're a little over 30 days from our return trip, cant wait.

I really did not mean to hijack this thread - I should have replied privately. This is a great thread about the new Temptations and @Jen&Kyle have done an absolutely great job with it. IMO, this is one of (if not the) best threads I ever seen on a message board!

So lets drop this member vs non-member, price too high stuff and get back to our regularly scheduled programming. My apologies to all for allowing a "hot button" post to get us off track.

I wouldnt say A LOT of complaints, but several. Yeah, seems like anyone on that page that has any constructive criticism or complaint about TTR, is summarily chastised and jumped on. Those of us that understand that no matter the price, and we still expect the basic necessities for our money, always like hearing the pros and cons before shelling out $$$$. Most money conscious people do.

On the bracelets black is Premier. Wow, I am mixing up Desire with TTR. But either red or white is regular folks. I don't think there was anything distinguishing a tower room from a regular room. However, Master Suite in the tower was bright blue. We got a couple extra ammenities including butler service and free room service. I assume once Penthouse is ready they will have a different band also.

Towels are like before. Premier has towels with premier on them. Non premier does not say premier. I don't recall a difference besides name on them. We got both. Not sure why they gave us the premier towels one day. Both were plants soft and both got fuzzies all over me ha. I assume we were the first to ever use them.

Only restaurant open that had reservations is she. I was told the Asian would also be reservations once it opens. But they did add they were still assessing that.
