Kyle, I agree with your assessment of the activities at the sexy pool. My last few trips myself and the large group(all return visitors at TTR) that would meet there would mostly sit at the quiet pool after a few days. I don't get offended easily and enjoyed the yelling when Chino was there and even somewhat after but like you I guess it lost it shock value and became boring. I always found the coolness of the guests made this what it is. Even if I went there as a single, I always met some great people. Of course acting like a human and not a crazed dog in heat helps make people realize you are there to have fun and not hump their wife. Can't wait, 6 weeks and I will be back. Its been 4 years since I was there last, so its way too long. Thanks for the pictures and updates
This sounds much better. I imagine there will be many more volunteers from now on. The shouting and swearing never appealed to me, particularly the insults that were meant as humorous but sometimes bordered on tasteless.
Twilight shot looking down at Bash and the Apple dj stage they are building. On our way to dinner at seafood Sexy pool lit up at night looks amazing
Pictures from dinner at Sea Flirt. Which is rhe seafood restaurant in the location of the old Asian restaurant. As mentioned earlier our second favorite meal at TTR ever, close second to She the night before. I tried to make it easy to tell what Jen got vs what I got in the picture Duo De Tostadas. I disliked how the old TTR food was kind of bland. Not the case here. The shrimp tostada was very spicy and I LOVED it. Too spicy for jen but perfect for me. She let me taste her tostada Does anyone else think that sounds dirty? Ha Heart of palm salad. Damn I forgot the breasts in this one. Jen loved it Avocado and chicken salad. Just ok Cream of Lentil soup. Jen loved Clam chowder soup. A little fishy but good nonetheless. I guess that means it is fresh Pisto Manchego I believe? I don't pay much attention to the vegetarian entrees. More to come from sea flirt. Hit 10 pic limit
The blackened rib eye was amazing!!! Seasoned well. Cooked perfectly. Asked for medium rare and got medium rare. They have a wine display also.
I understand the value of not making volunteers the butt of jokes and a barrage of insults, when they go up there to participate. I'm sure the expectation of that, has kept many people in the pool when looking for volunteers. That change is all well and good, my only concern is the fact that these things were performed with the staff vs having the guest do it with each other. Do you find that the poolside games are having less interaction guest to guest and is instead having the guest perform with the staff. I always found it entertaining when the guest were performing with each other.
Great info!! Thanks. After 7 trips, the games and all of the constant yelling (that most of the time you cant understand) had grown a little old. Some were funny at times, most were not. I also understand its hard to keep things fresh when you have so many repeat guest. I still think this is all part of raising the party atmosphere to a level that attracts a more "upscale" clientele. It only makes sense with the large investment they made. Good thing you didnt post this on the TTR Facebook page....You would have been flogged for being negative!!! LOL
I recall this one time JJ had random bikini bottoms with him. He was asking gals in the pool to reclaim them by jumping up (to prove they had no bikini bottoms on) He got to one larger gal and said "Oh, no, you don't jump - there'll be a tsunami" While he might have meant that in the sense that this lady was well-endowed, it came off as offensive and we could all tell she was hurt by the words. So while I did love the raunchiness of the old TTR, I could see where it could sometimes cross the line.
