The only negative I had from my last trip was that the beach area was a little small. Also the sand by the volleyball court was really shallow. Anyone know if the beach area has changed with the new renovations ?

I agree, the beach area has always been Temptation's most unappealing landscape . The aerial view from earlier construction photos didn't really show much work being done on the beach area. IMO Lets wait and see what the this weeks guest have to say.

Is the beach privately owned by the resort, or is it public land?

Well...that would explain why it isn't the greatest. The really magnificent beaches are usually privately owned and maintained by the resorts.

FYI - all the beaches in Mexico are public up to 20 meters inland from the high tide mark

I'm not sure who owns it but it is maintained very well by the resort.

The Mexican constitution decrees all beaches to be publicly accessible so that theory doesn't apply here.

Great question. My wife and I generally spend some time at the beach and in the water.
