It's very easy to redeem the "miles" and the points do transfer evenly...you can book your flight(s) with any airline directly, then redeem your "miles" to cover the charge once it posts to your account or up to 90 days afterward. You can also book through Capital One but I really haven't looked into that option.

By the way, American Airlines and Delta will break down multiple ticket charges individually which is great if you only have enough "miles" for one ticket. Southwest lumps multiple tickets all together in one charge.

Can you tell that I love this card? I should be getting a kick-back from Capital One...lol!

Well, I went for the Venture card. Nothing "Ventured", nothing gained. LOL
Had a couple people try and tell me that redeeming the miles is a pain in the ass....Oh well, Guess Ill see for myself.

Gonna start putting everything we can on it and just have the balance auto pay every due date.

Capital One Venture here as well. We have had the Venture card for the last 5 years and just about everything goes on it. It does have the $59 annual fee but when you credit a lot of travel it adds up quick. We put everything on it even medical although we have HSA card we use the venture and reimburse from the HSA. I got our daughter added on when she was 15 just for gas money it still adds up. All my business expenses go on the venture and work reimburses.

We've paid for the last 3 vacations with the miles ($) racked up. Our October trip already has the flights 1/2 paid for. We used all of our miles earlier this summer for our spring family vacation.

It's been a win, win, win...

As long as you keep your balance paid it's as easy as pick the travel expense (airline, hotel) and request credit. So our October trip was about 2k so we got 4000 miles, everyday use is about 5k so we earn about 10000 miles per month. after about 6 months we have earned 60000 miles or $600 credit toward travel. Add in all the extra stuff and every year we nearly pay for one of our vacations per year.

One issue is sometimes you need to contact them and they will extend the travel search so you can go back and get the credit for something 6 or more months ago.

You buy anything travel related and then request credit or redeem miles. So use an uber, request credit buy southwest ticket, request credit. You are not limited on who the card works with or restricted to using the card's travel service.
