Have seen nothing on here but apparently things got pretty wet over the last couple days. Hurricane season can be a bear. So,glad it missed this time.....it could have been Devastating!

What was the storm that took out all power and flooded the entire first floor at TTR? When?

The only other one I remember was Gilbert on September 15, 1988.

Wilma was the last one that hit Cancun, it also hit Florida. A couple we met the last year was in Cancun for it at Desire I think. They were actually shuttled to BBG for the storm. Funny part was they did not know BBG was now TTR until we said it. Then they started looking around Laughing and remembering the place.

This was just a tropical storm and steamed to be a lot of rain but not that bad of wind.

Wilma Oct 2005 was the last big one, we were here for that one. Temptation was closed 2 months for repairs, but was one of the first hotels to open up again. There's been a few near misses since then but nothing that has caused damage, evacuation or closure.

Tropical Storm Franklin (not a hurricane) two days ago was a non event. A couple hours of heavy rain and winds no more than 45mph. Cloudy yesterday but no rain. Hot, sunny and blue skies again today.

When it rains and you don't want to get wet, I recall one of the keys to the original TTR was to figure out the interconnected hallway maze to get from your point a to point b at the resort. It was a bit overwhelming for us on the first day, but after the second day we could get to our room even with our eyes closed despite a night of heavy drinking at patty o's

We were on Isla Mujeres for the last 4 days, and didn't even know there was a tropical storm until people from home started texting us asking how were were doing down there. We saw rain and some wind, but not what we would consider a "Tropical Storm".
