I was on the boat one May when 10 min out woman broke her ankle and Steve had to turn the boat around, but Albotros took care of everything I believe luckly
Also try to see if you can find a policy that doesn't exclude preexisting conditions too, it's another loophole for them not to pay out and everyone has something wrong with them. Most if not all policy's have the if your intoxicated clause, so you may want to sober up before calling for that ambulance. T
So my curiosity got the better of me and I started looking up travel insurance. WOW I found one so much information, very interesting. One that I found was for a year long plan (so several trips) $250 for people it covers quite a bit lost or delayed luggage, care rental coverage, medical for international travel and med evac. I feel like it is deferentially worth looking into as we get older.
We were at TTR with friends several years ago. One of them had a heart attack. We do take him to the hospital there and the bill ran up to 7 k in hours. We called the trip insurance company and they took over. He was in a Miami hospital by that night. He survived. Had he not had insurance we would have been bringing his body home. No joke
I know that's why i am looking into it now sad to say , i wish my blue cross blue shield worked there
WOW... I guess I better start looking for Travel/trip insurance. In the past I used the insurance the travel site had and things went okay and do not have to use it. Knock on wood. But this time I'm going on a referral. What one does everyone use??
I have bought medivac insurance from both AAA and AIG Travel Guard before. Would not travel without it.
We use squaremouth.com which pulls options from several travel insurance companies. Just used it yesterday and paid $212 for our week trip covering medical primary and medical evac
This is the same company, Squaremouth, we have also used in the past for the last 2 trips it was $110 for both of us for the trips, we just back the total trip cost down. If you want to save a little and can absorb the trip cancel full amount only insure the trip for the lowest amount possible to get the if you really screw your self up stuff. T
Blue Cross has what they call GeoBlue. It is included with our coverage. Includes everything as long as you go to the hospitals on their list. Also includes Medvac. There is a 800 number to call to get any information for the country you are in. Might be cheaper than than getting separate insurance if you need to add it on.
