This is going to be such a Debbie Downer comment but I hate the new big ass floaties. half the time no one uses them and they just float around bumping into my head. We have a couple hotels in the area that throw pool parties every weekend and those damn floaties are always attacking me. I will be nice and not pop them but that vision is in my head every time it happens. lol PS I think they look cute and provide a lot of great pics but other then that GRRRRRR

 

Yeah, I'm anti floaty as well. I want to be able to see who's on the other side of the pool. I don't want to get attacked by a massive duck.

I'm not trying to belabor my point, but that is what I was saying in my response to ScubaSteve. When this whole project started they were thinking 10 stories, and had money allocations, and time frames based on that. It didn't happen so they were able to use that time/money surplus, and do something on top of the towers.

Could be right, could be wrong. Certainly been plenty of speculation of everything for the last 8 months.

 

Point taken. I do believe that they had the room count posted some time ago though. There wouldn't be anyway for them to keep the room count the same and lose three floors. I think the rendering showed 10 floors but they didn't actually plan for 10. Also, even though they never showed the actual rooftop, I think they planned all along for this feature. If you go back and look at the original renderings, there was a side profile of the tower that showed an unusual curve at the roofline at the front that we now know is the roof of the Sky Bar 3.5. I know this is convoluted but there is an extra amount of roof that pops up that has always been in the renderings. I believe that they meant to surprise everyone with this feature and is supported by the fact they didn't want Steve posting too much info or pictures.
I don't guess it really matters seeing that they only have 7 floors, there is a rooftop pool and they open in TWO FRIGGIN WEEKS, WOOH HOO!!!!

 

What's crazy is I am looking back at my pictures from June 29th wondering if I just missed it and it isn't there at all. So they basically added that roof top area in about 1 month.

 

what's also crazy is at this point in 2 weeks we will be eating dinner at TTR and planning out the final details for lingerie night! Yeah boy!
