Hey guys just wondering what will be in our room as far as a Microwave and fridge. Did the rooms in the past have these, if so you would think the new rooms should have them, the fridge is the one we would have a hard time living without. Need to heat water so if need be we could use the coffee pot to heat it but how do you replace a fridge. Thanks for the info in advance, cant wait to get there.
Fridge is a gimme, normally stocked with various drinks and mixers. I don't remember a microwave though.
I never saw a microwave but maybe that's what was in the closet and we put out money and passports in it. T
Nope no Microwave in the past and I highly doubt they will have them now but you never know. I cant even rememeber there being a coffee pot in the room. LOL I am sure if you went to one of the casual restaurants they would heat something for you. Or call room service for hot water it would be brought to you.
There was a coffee pot in the room and we did use it, was better than the coffee they served for breakfast. T
Have been in dozens of rooms, either staying in or just visiting, and don't recall a microwave in any of them. Coffeemaker and fridge fer sure. But no ovens, toasters or hot plates. Kinda glad of that. It would make it feel a bit Budget Inn or Motel6ish to us. However with the new tower rooms, maybe nukers will be provided.
I take one of these wherever I go. I never use a hotel's in-room coffee maker, because they really don't clean those things. Even in 5 star places, you see dubious housekeeping tactics. Often times, the same cloth is used to wipe down the furniture, sink, jacuzzi, drinking glasses, and toilet (yes I said toilet). I know this little device looks like something straight out of a penitentiary (LOL); but if you need to boil water for tea, soup, or whatever, it comes in very handy.
Thanks guys the info helps, Mr LL cool thank you for that info, she just bought one. Now its just a waiting game. Come on September 9th.
North Americans really get their tipping. Last time we followed our neighbours lead and gave the cleaning lady 20 USD on the first day so that she´d stick a few extra waters and more importantly beers in the fridge. Its nice to have a cold one in the room before you leave for breakfast!
Can't imagine there being any type of cooking facilities. You generally find those at places that don't offer food or have a pay as you go restaurant, not really at an All Inclusive place that (I'm pretty sure I read) will offer room service.
