Jamie, I was taking it as they are considering the outside bar at bash to be the rooftop bar. Like I guess because it is up a level above the pool overlooking stuff, and there is a ramp leading to it, it could be considered a rooftop bar.

It didn't look like from the construction they were putting anything significant leading to the rooftop-rooftop. But who knows, maybe they are really good a keeping some secrets. I feel like maybe there is just some special pool somewhere upstairs where they could have put a suite, but maybe used the space for a lounge with some type of mini pool instead.

 

Music has always stopped at 2 a.m..
Just be happy there is music every night!
It was not that long ago (maybe 7 or 8 yrs) that PatyO's was dormant of music several nights each week.
Unless you consider piped in lobby music as a party.

On those nights most folks would hit the hotel zone and pay for clubs.

 

IDK then I can always remember the music playing until later at night...... maybe It was the alcohol I dont know.....

 

First it seems to me that the rooftop bar is not Bash. If you look at the restaurants & bar page on the website there are is one rectangle that is labeled "Main Bar & Snacks. When you point at it, the description starts out "Bash invites you... " The hours for this bar are listed as "Snack Hours - 12pm to 5pm and 6pm to 6am" and Bar Hours as 6pm to 2am".

Then there is another rectangle labeled "Sky Bar" with the following description:

Have you ever been to heaven? Temptation has reserved this all-new, privileged playground, which collides with Cancun’s skyline, to take you there… Recharge your battery at “Sky 3.5”, offering 12-hours of accelerating sounds and special performances, in a spectacular set up, complimented by casual gastronomy and masters in mixology. All this and more on the ride to “Sky 3.5”.

Hours of operation: 12 p.m. – 12 a.m.

I think that all of the above indicates two different venues.

However - now the confusion - In addition to the above there is also a "Bash" entry on the "Playgrounds" page with a completely different description than the one on the restaurants and bar page. This entry describes the night club "Bash" (it clearly is the Paty-Os replacement) and the hours are listed as 6pm to 2am.

I have some hunch that perhaps "Bash" is really a dual purpose club/snack facility - maybe one description is for the open air part (playground) and the other (restaurant/bar) is for the enclosed part.

I too thought that the music at Paty-O's used to continue well beyond 2am. When I was there last summer, I noticed that the DJ shut down at 2am. Everyone I asked said that this was always the case, but that most nights someone would bring out a boom box (or a more modern version of a boom box) and play music so that the guest provided music went on late into the night. I guess only time will tell if they still allow this.

Like all of the other things that are a bit fuzzy, , we will all have to wait until 8/15 for definitive answers.

Our first trip was when PatyOs had nothing so when we went back last year after a long stay away it was a great surprise.

 

Sky bar seems like a different spot for sure to me. It would be amazing if it was on the roof of one of the bash towers. Elevators for the towers would work easy for even if you have to climb a flight of stairs for the last flight to the roof top. to build a roof top bar would be no big deal and to add a pool up there would not be that big a deal either. Could you imagine the views, Amazing !!!

Yes but what is the number of months that t will be 1 or 2 or 3 maybe 3months 16 days. We know at the latest it will be 3 months and 16 days since I will be there in 3 months and 17 days

Yea I guess with the separated descriptions, maybe there is more then we are realizing. Just seems amazing to me in all their design and presentation materials promoting the renovation that they would leave out a major component that would be very visible on the roof, and a major selling point booking reservations and getting people excited.

Also, is there enough room to have large performances and tons of people on the roof? Oh and now we are thinking there is a pool too. We might be getting a bit crazy, hahaha.
