Yea, I totally see that happening and really is the main reason I want to wear them. I have many pairs of high quality board shorts, and I don't actually find them soggy 2 minutes out of the water. I could care less what people think about me, it's more me just looking down and not taking myself serious when I am talking to someone in very close proximity while wearing what are basically bright colored tiny underwear.
Caring less what other people think doesn't get any better with age and at my age I am almost a expert at it. My 5 month preggo size beer belly keeps most of what I can see out of sight to my eyes. I more worried about shrinkage when coming out of the cold water. T
The way I feel is that anything goes at TTR. Where else can you wear what you wouldn't usually wear! That's what makes this place so much fun!!! I was so self conscious about my body, and still kinda am, but when we are there I love doing and trying new things!
But my hesitation is I want people to talk to me and party with me vs run the other way ha I have large thighs from years of sports. And while I have been losing a lot of weight and been doing way more cardio these days my thighs remain large. Square cut shorts make those thighs look even bigger. I love my board shorts and they are never soggy if u get the right ones
We will be there opening day. Hopefully about 6am. Obsessive? Lol. We will be taking a taxi over from Desire as soon as they open the front door
I agree with the "if you get the right ones" but for the most part very few do that and the ones that mostly worn are still soggy a day after they were taken off. T
I'm sure your aren't changing you mind But you got to get these kind that stretch are water repellent and have a bit of spandex in them. Out of the pool to virtually dry before your shot stack is ready. Hurley Phantom One And Only 20" Boardshorts at PacSun.com
I like you was a little apprehensive to wear them at first but now it's all I bring to TTR. They do seem to dry much quicker and are quite comfortable I must say. But back at home in Florida it's board shorts all the way as I have yet to see guys wear them. Jeff
I'm a bashful guy, myself, and I've come to the same conclusion. The damn things are surprisingly comfortable and all I take to TTR, now.
Wow they don't give these things away, I don't think I have ever spent more than $15 to $20 for swimwear for myself, now for the Mrs that's a little different. T
