Can't see that happening, certainly didn't happen for the closing party. The only time I've seen restricted access for guests is if one of the family are having a birthday party or wedding etc or when there is big sit down show like New Years Eve with arranged seating and the front seats get reserved etc.
That's what I was talking about at the shows... "that for any of the shows and stuff, the hotel guests will be allowed in, but in the back behind all the visiting dignitaries". As for the rest, well one would expect a little different attitude from tear the place down to let me show you what I have built. But only time will tell. Jamie
If it's a "sit down and watch" show I won't bother going to it anyway. Sitting in (or standing behind) an orderly row of seats watching some dancers isn't my idea of a party.
Only thing that would worry me with the Grand Party and lots of guests being invited. We were there when they were getting the planning permission and it was such a dull 2 weeks. Everything was toned down as not to upset anyone. All games were dull, even the Wet Tee Shirt competition the girls were asked to put their tee shirts back on at the side of the pool. We are happy to be there from Sept 29th - Oct 13th.
Actually the 25th anniversary show was really good. They built stage out over the sports pool so they could use the water in some of the acts. Enrique was MC'ing the event. My only complain was petty but the VIP in front of me had a huge bald spot on his head and my flash kept reflecting bad off his head. Was before I had a digital camera so I couldn't tell till I got home and developed the picture. Jamie
Even premier is out. I have the feeling they have locked all bookings for a few days before and after the 16th to have rooms available for any special guests. That and it is the end if a busy week for us Canadians with our thanksgiving the previous Monday
I was able to get a room the 8-18th through hotels combined. I will of course call the resort in a few days to confirm before booking airfare
