So I just clicked on a link on FB and it took me to "Room Amenities" on the Temptation website. Two things jumped out at me: 1. Turn-down Service - did they have this before? If so I never had it. When I was on my honeymoon at the Royal they had this. Basically at some point at night when you were at dinner or partying after dinner, the cleaning staff came back to you room, straightened up a bit, made sure you had fresh towels, set the mood lighting, and fixed and made the bed for sleeping. This was nice on honeymoon, but I am not sure how necessary it is at TTR. However, it is just one of them extra things that girls really seem to find romantic...you know right before you spank them over the balcony. 2. Minibar - before we had some beers and soda and tomoto juice, do you think since they are saying "minibar" there would be more to it? Again at the royal there was a pullout that had 3 bottles(rum, tequila, vodka) upside-down you could pour from to make a mixed drink. Again, just seems unlikely at TTR, but maybe???
I am thinking you are on the right track. I personally don't care about turn down service unless you may have a friend or 20 come back to the room and it is nice and fresh. I was looking at several other hotels in the Cancun area and their minibars are just as you described and I am hoping that TTR has put these into the rooms. It would be nice to be able to make a drink while getting ready and not have to run get something at a bar.
The members benefits list "good night kiss turn down service" and a "premium minibar" - wonder if there is really a difference lol
I believe they had turn down service for members during our last visit. If they didn't then we had a maid who enjoyed interrupting our "nap time".
I think I'll go to the web site and ask the online chat what it will be, they should know or able to find out.
My experience with the chat is they will say whatever they think you want to hear... I.e. Will there be turndown service at the new TTR? Yes there will be amazing, sensually arousing turn down service that will blow your mind. What does that mean? They will pull down your sheets and leave a mint if you tip them
Second to none decadent chocolates inviting an invigorating adult experience that will make you promptly explode in your pants.
The Turn down service that should never happen at TTR .... knock knock "room service" Door Opens "Hola, Your wife asked me to come by and let you know Not tonight honey she has a headache."
Wow, that's really disappointing if the mini bar is the exact same. Then again because of the party atmosphere I feel like a lot more people get sent to their room at TTR after drinking too much. If they still have a access to bottles of liquor it could be an issue.
